eTicket

eTicket has been specifically made to integrate with the OSTicket Support Ticket System (http://osticket.com). We have made this app initially for ourselves and thought we'd share what we've made.

To use this app, you MUST have the OSTicket Support Ticket System running on a web server and have access to upload API files to the system. (Please contact us if you do not understand prior to purchasing.)

With this app, you have the ability to view all open tickets, assigned (to you) tickets, and closed tickets. You can reply, assign the ticket, close the ticket, re-open the ticket, or create new tickets all within the app.

With very little changes, you can also receive push notifications when you have new tickets submitted to your system, replies to your tickets, or tickets assigned to you. Additionally, you can turn these notifications off within the app, or pick and choose which notifications you wish to receive.

Well, a refund would be nice.

No sooner did I get my installation set up, the files installed, and everything ready to go as instructed, then I purchased the app and logged in. It worked beautifully - and does - for about 30 seconds each time, and then the app crashes. I view a ticket, tap the menu, and it crashes. I reopen the app, tap the same ticket, and it doesn’t even get that far - just crashes. I wouldn’t buy this unless you are somehow sure that it will work for you. Pity. I was really hopeful.

It’s been dead for some time. Avoid this at all costs.

Works great!

We use Osticket all the time this app works as an extension for the Osticket software. We get push notifications on new and updated tickets, assign tickets, respond to tickets. It works well.

Decent so far
PartieHonteuse

Just downloaded this a few hours ago and so far so good. I am having an issue with viewing all closed tickets. I have submitted a support request and will give them ample time to respond. Edit: as previously mentioned I contacted their support line and have received a response early this morning. Seems like they have already found a solution to the problem and are working on deploying the fix. 3 stars to 4.

API

Have to get the API from their site for it to work. Once it does, it seems to work, mostly. Needs updated to support 1.9.3 for push notifications, and it's a little buggy. Overall, best soloution out there. Only con is the cost.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I’m assuming this was designed for internal use…. thanks so much for sharing! I’m a big fan of GTD and typically have more on my plate than I can handle at any given time, so setting up a ticket system for side work made a whole lot of sense. After a brief run around the Internet, I settled on osticket. Why not? It’s free, and it’s great! Boy do I wish I had an app to access it from my iPhone… wait for it….. you’ve already developed one! Yay! It’s Christmas! Seriously, though. Nice job keeping it simple and usable. Exactly what I wanted. 5 minutes to setup.

Glad this exists!

As soon as I stumbled across this app, I purchased it. We use OSTicket at my workplace to manage all of our I.T. trouble tickets - and I’ve always wished it had a better mobile interface. (Sure, you can access it via Safari on an iOS device, but you’re constantly doing the pinch-to-zoom and back again, so you can see the dialog boxes you need to select, etc.) On the downside, I can’t seem to get the app to close a ticket. Whenever I select the Close button on one, it just reports an error and goes back to the previous screen. Everything else seems to be working for us though, including push notifications. Maybe it’s a configuration error on our side? Not sure because my boss is the one who upgraded OSTicket and installed the add-ons needed for this, per my request.

Works fine but...

The app integrates well, however there are more work needed, example the fact that you need to type an email address and name in order to create ticket. There should be a drop down select option or something , i cant do copy and paste either and it crashes sometimes. At this point i rather use the mobile website instead of the app, but i hope they fix it some day.

Lame attempt
Dannotafan

Horrible. Submit button is hidden behind keyboard, does not save drafts, priority tags don't show, no way this should be a paid app

Do not buy
