Epicurious is my favorite app for recipe ideas. My go-to any time I need a change of pace from my normal routine.

For all the other people who have never been to Peter Luger’s this recipe is what they serve with their tomato and onion salad. I have been there several times to know. Most people do not eat this with their steak but if you choose to it may not be the best choice, try shrimp instead.

The content of the recipes are very good. They make reliably good food and I can always find new ideas. HOWEVER- other than to add ads (which I don’t object to in exchange for receiving free content), this app hasn’t changed much in years. The fatal flaw is that you can’t rate or review the recipes within the app. The reviews are a vital part of the value of any recipe and by confining them to desktop users (who aren’t in their kitchens when they do the review), you are suppressing both the quality and quantity of the user feedback. For heaven’s sake, at the very least, put in a button that will launch an in-app browser. Don’t you have any developers working over there?

This app sends push notifications I want to read, but when I click through it’s impossible to find the article. It takes you to an ad (which I don’t mind. I get that they need $), but when I close out the ad the article is nowhere to be found. It’s junk and frustrating. Will be deleting soon without a fix.
