Perfect little game

TheBoojum

ENYO is a gem. There's only a handful of game mechanics to master, but the emergent play is satisfyingly varied and complex. More importantly, it's fun-- sending a centaur careening into a spiked wall is grimly satisfying, but so is dying when you've been fiendishly outplanned. Nice job, guys.

First review~

This game is amazin~! Needs more attention if anything.. Some variety in the mobs or traps may be nice! The levels feel a bit monotonous after a while.. Great game tho~!★彡

Excellent strategy game, with a learning curve

Duskwitch6

I previously rated this 4 stars, but with the last two updates to fix bugs and a bit more experience, it has definitely earned 5. I'm keeping the main block of my old review below and adding on some extra thoughts. The first few times I played this, it was very frustrating with the repetitive actions that the tutorial taught me, and I died a lot. I almost deleted the app. (However, the new info box explaining what the different enemies do, and the new repeatable tutorial, might make starting easier now) It took trial and error to figure out some basic things - that you can use the hook to pull and push enemies behind you, that you can stun enemies/be stunned by a push into a wall, etc. The game became so much better once I learned those tricks, and in this way, the game rewards creative thinking and experimentation. It's now an enjoyable and reasonably challenging strategy game with some fun moves and combos - there's something very rewarding about goading a Minotaur into charging at you over a rune and having it be redirected straight into a pit of lava. I still haven't made it past level 7 of expert, but I'm having fun trying and still discovering a few new tricks. Despite the initial trickiness, I love the concept and gameplay. My one request would be to make it easier to find different relics, or add more relics - I've won the game about 7 times and every time I've won "the fleece" which is a bit frustrating. I would also appreciate a graphic or bit of backstory for relics - what the heck is the fleece and why am I risking my life to recover a piece of wool? That would make winning more fun.

Great game

Great game, could've had a better ending. Played it for weeks.

Solid game.

Yoodesign

This meets my standards for a good app. I'd compare this to a chess like gameplay. Similar movements. Really love what is created. As most comments will be, more contents are required if I am to buy this game. Not just the addition of modes of same game play. Bigger maps, Multiplayer and etc will move this game to a new level. It's truly my perfect definition of game app. Simple. Light. Strategic. Just need the right reason to purchase.

It's Zelda Chess!

Da Frog

I'm too young to know anything about roguelike games, and for all of those like me, I think this is a good description: It's got the weapon/move mastery and life hearts of classic 2d Zelda and the strategic turn-based movement of chess. Surprisingly addictive and cerebrally satisfying for a random level generation game. Might just be a masterpiece in fact...

Great concept--annoying level loss

Dance you fools. Bang bang.

It's a puzzle game. It appears to be 10 levels. If you die, you start back at 1. Super annoying. Oh and those three hits? That's for the WHOLE game. Ugh

Found a crash

DragonFaceEater

So, I was playing pretty early into the game, and a bomb thrower threw a bomb onto a cracked space, and the turn it exploded was also the turn I pulled a spear guy onto the space with the bomb on it. The game crashed the second he died, and every time I tried to load the save it crashed again.

Alright game

Mostus roastus

A great idea, could controls, the game just can't keep up with me.

Fantastic game, worth buying, UI needs some work

SokaTat

I love this game, it looks amazing, and it's simplicity allows for hours of playing. However, it's got some problems that drive me crazy. It's incredibly easy to move your character to the wrong square and there is no undo, your just dead. In a turn based game where you spend minutes planning your move this makes you want to throw your phone against the wall. Also, only about 50% of the game is explained in the tutorial and FAQ. There is nowhere else to find info so you got to work out the rest as you play. It's like playing chess but only knowing what half the pieces do.
