New Version is ??

They did very well with this update. It keeps on improving! Only one problem I have experienced is that sometimes the feed does not update. For example I am in Missouri and my father is in Michigan and sometimes I am unable to see his current run to give him pep talks. Minor issue otherwise great app

It randomly stops

Alex Lem

Stoped on me many time, randomly in the middle of an activity, without me even checking the app. So it’s not good at running in the background.

Worked well for past years until today

Novahokiesfan

Just today it keeps popping out a window saying “track your first workout, you don’t have any workout yet” when I check history section. BUT I just had finished one hour walking. It’s annoying and block half of the phone screen and I can’t close it.

New release broke integration between Apple Watch and phone app

Apple-freek

Loved this app but when they decided to make watch standalone app, you can no longer use the phone app for displaying heart rate or anything on the dashboard from the watch. Support told me this was by design. Sure - if doing something outdoors makes carrying the phone impractical then it makes sense. But for those who are doing aerobics on older machines like elliptical, the app on the phone seated on the machine is more practical than trying to look at the watch. As someone in tech, you should always cover more use cases vs dropping them. The watch app is ok at best and really not as good as the app that Apple provides. If Endomondo was really trying to create value above what is native with Apple then they would never have dropped the mirroring between watch app and the phone app. I did not renew my annual premium because of this change. Too bad as I really liked how it worked before.

Customer service is the WORST!!!

Looneyfam

UPDATE: After using for nearly a year I finally had it. The app didn’t crash as often, but it started missing my voice cues (miles/heart rate/etc). Sometimes it would miss 2-3. Finally, and probably the most damning, is that once I started trying out other apps I discovered that the Endomondo app was very inaccurate in calculating distance. It was off by 1/4 mile over a 5 mile run. That’s highly unacceptable. Go with Map My Run. It’s the best of the lot for the iWatch. I started using the app for my iWatch 3 for short runs and it worked fine. Bust as my runs increased in time, I started getting crashes after about 30 minutes. It would suddenly just stop working and I’d finish my run without it being tracked. I contacted customer service and the response was that my issue needed to be kicked up to someone who was more knowledgeable in the tech. That was TWO MONTHS AGO! I’ve tried reaching out to the original contact with no response. I had purchased the year and now I’ve just deleted the app and am using Runkeeper for free and it’s great. Don’t waste your time.

Not intuitive

nickname taken 987

Maybe I was under wrong impression, but I simply wanted an App that would have me compete with a friend. I wanted to work out and compete with a friend. But, the app would not even remember 3 hours later that I did my 90 mins. Much less allow me to sync with my friend. So tired of Facebook links. We all have simple emails and cell phones- wave of the future. Not easy to link to normal people living normally. Not intuitive.

Not the best

senthilrameshjv

I was trying Strava and RunKeeper, and now wanted to try Endomondo. I got the free trial of premium and started with a training plan on phone. I’m surprised that the app in watch didn’t automatically start and thereby I lost the heartbeat tracking. Also it’s not showing me the stats while running in watch app (cos it didn’t start when I started the work out). This way I’ve to rely only on phone. Alternatively I thought I could start the run from watch but it doesn’t give me an option to choose my training plan. So what’s the point of the watch app. I think I’ll take the RunKeeper premium even if it’s 10$ more yearly.

Disappointed user

Michelle022

I used the app on my Apple old watch until I upgraded my watch. Now I am unable to even have the app remain on my watch. The app when stopped on its own DURING a run so I had to guesstimate the miles I put in. I’ve attempted to reach out to CS but they were absolutely no help!!! It doesn’t seem like they even exercise snd use the app. I’ve given up on them and have switched apps. Save yourself a headache and don’t bother with Endomondo

Major Bug: ? App Stops Duration Timer!!

jPhone6#

I downgraded from a paid subscription. I’ve used the app for years and continue to support its development and use; however... The timer and duration of a workout continually resets to 0:01 when I reopen the app. For example, I start my workout then open podcasts Spotify or another app. I come back to Endomondo and then see it had reset the timer. Almost every workout. ? Please fix. ? iPhone running current versions of Endomondo and iOS

Used to swear by this app... not anymore.

Some functions are not working and no response from customer support since sending in support contact, even as a paid premium member. Endomondo is owned by Under Armour, and Map My Ride is too. MMR has an update one WEEK ago. Endomondo last update one YEAR ago? Is Endomondo being phased out?
