This randomly quits. It’s also deselects files you’ve selected. It deletes files you don’t want to delete. Some memories lost forever. I hate this app and this device

Good backup, but the app crashes so much

So, when it decides to work, it’s really slick. However... The app crashes 100% of the time I use it. I can usually just reload it and it’s fine, but the more stuff I put on the Cobra2, the less reliable the EmtecConnect app becomes. I’ve read all the FAQs, cleared the cache, etc. Still kind of janky, and I’m not 100% sure I’ll be able to transfer my files back to my iPhone... But at least they are backed up, right?

App support don’t work

The app support doesn’t work! Why does it say, “delete photos” & the number populates while I’m backing up? Is it deleting photos or backing them up? I unplugged it

You can browse media on your phone, but there’s no way to get it to the Emtec, and no way to see what’s on the Emtec on your phone.

I’ve had the app 6 months I don’t like it for many reasons, no support, no one to contact about issues,App crashes a lot , I like to listen to music while working, app crashes six to eight time a day. Then I have to disconnect from phone to restart , ive re format 5 times. My biggest issue is when listening to music i stops after every song , I can’t get it to play music continuously . It stores great other than that it’s a big waste of money.

I’ve used this 32 Gb drive, and it works nicely With iOS 9 restrictions, but with iOS 12 and 13 there are many more options, but this app doesn’t let you work with these new options. For example iMovie and Files should work with this drive.

Please add ducument and files app support with some apps like powerpoint i can copy file to kodak cool disk but files and dacument app can’t Please add “open with” option for open files on disk

But you should also know that you MUST shut down the app after you’ve used it! I did not, and 2 and a half hours later found my phone drained of power, and the battery also became very hot! Note that this is a brand new iPhone 11, and the battery is at 100% usability. Once I noticed that the app was still open, I closed it down and the phone cooled off. I looked at the battery life for that day up until then, of the 80% power consumed, 59% was the app! (I had unplugged the actual device, so that had nothing to do with it)

I’ve had a 64gb version for 6 months and the product simply does not work consistently. I want to backup pictures when off the grid. The app is inconsistent and falsely stated files are loaded on the drive when, in fact, not all pictures have been downloaded. It’s a waste of money; I do not trust it.
