When version 5 first came out, I reviewed it harshly for, what I believe, were steps backward related to live HRV feedback (compared to version 4). To the Elite HRV’s credit, they’ve continued innovating with v5 updates and now, at least in the guided Biofeedback sections (which are great by the way), present HRV feedback graphed live. This real time graph can be very helpful when working on establishing optimal breathing as it relates to HRV. Anyway, thanks Elite HRV. I’ll give you a fifth star when you add real-time HRV graphs to the HRV Snapshots, etc. Oddly, the app presents the HRV value in real-time, but doesn’t graph it (unless I’m missing a setting somewhere).

More taps to do the same task, and dumbed-down data visualization. The new look is slick, but the functionality has been trashed. Time to look at the competitors after many years of daily EliteHRV use!

Paid $5 for premium app integration but can’t get it to sync to TrainingPeaks. TrainingPeaks has approved the request for integration. But Elite HRV’s app still doesn’t recognize it. Tried to submit the problem through the app to the developers but also couldn’t get this to work either. I think I’ll look elsewhere for an alternative HRV tracking app. I wish I could get my $5 back too.

An excellently put together app paired with my polar H10 no problem took readings for 34 day’s straight. Unfortunately the morning readiness doesn’t correlate with my physical felt condition an example would run intervals until I am totally depleted. Next morning the readiness indicated I was in the green with a readiness of 10. I know better an take a recovery day. The next morning after recovery the readiness indicated go slow take a recovery day. There are all the HRV indicators however they are data without interpretation and therefore not useful Deleting the App

Been using this app happily for years. The recent update makes connecting to Bluetooth strap difficult. Myself and clients have issue since updating. Hope an update fixes issue so we don’t have to switch apps. Great app other than that. Love the darker look.

I just installed the update this week and have been really enjoying it! I think it’s a huge improvement on the previous version and I wanted to take the time to congratulate Jason and his team for doing such a great job and taking this tool to the next level. I know I have been slightly critical of the app in a previous review but the truth is you guys have created the best HRV measuring platform in the world right now and you should be very proud of yourselves. Thanks!

Don’t do it unless you want to hear from Jason@elitehrv multiple times per day spamming your email no matter how many times you unsubscribe.

The old version was much simpler to read! Like so many other reviews, I am also frustrated by the updated version. The black background looks cool, but ease of reading results, not great! However, like most updated apps, it’ll take some getting used to.

I used to be able to log my sleep start and stop time, but now it is just total sleep duration in hours/minutes. It matters to me what time I went to sleep, not just how long I was asleep. I don’t enjoy calculating sleep duration that early in the morning before I’m fully awake either. The rest of the things I use are mostly unchanged, but it feels more difficult to add each component, meaning significantly more clicking than the previous version. I debated giving 2 stars for the updates (downgrades) but ultimately it’s still a pretty good app.
