New payout process is awful

The app itself is great but eBay changing its payout process is terrible. It’s incredibly slow. When they used PayPal you’d get money instantly. Now with eBay it takes almost a week

Just wish things like privacy/email preferences were not so buried in your settings. Disappointing in 2021 really. You can’t access them via the app and conveniently the “communication” link on their website goes to a general category page not letting you change your preferences.

I always try to find things for the absolute cheapest out there, I have three teenagers living at home and every penny homes. I’m currently on his scrapbooking cake and everything at hobby lobby and Michaels is so expensive but I hop on here and I’m able to find the things I love for much cheaper, the fact that you can make an offer is amazing I’ve always been a big fan of eBay ???
App doesn’t save partially completed listing

While nearly finished entering all my item for sale details the app failed while attempting to select photos in my iPhone. The entire listing info that I had typed was lost forcing me to re-enter all of it ?.

One big thing I noticed is that it sometimes shows “Paid - Ship Item” in red on the main screen even when the item has already been shipped. Also, sometimes on the payment screen it don’t show you your money! But if you log in on computer it shows. Please fix.

eBay was great for me in the past and I enjoyed selling and buying. But recently they updated their terms and conditions and now they take way more of what you earn. I believe it used to be 10% (?) when I sold before. Now since they changed things their examples show they take about 12% for auctions and about 17% for buy-it-now listings. Plus if you pay shipping (like me), you end up losing about a third of your sale. That’s an outrageously high amount and honestly a huge turn off. Also without PayPal anymore, deposits are fed directly to your linked bank account. This is less reassuring than before because you used to be able to see when you had payment pending through PayPal. Now you just ship it and hope eBay is holding the money for you. It’s still great for buying, but really poor conditions for sellers now. Probably be moving to Facebook Marketplace soon...

Just now, the app used an iPhone notification to advertise an eBay promotion. I want to use notifications for ongoing auctions, but I should NOT be getting other advertising in my notification stream.

I downloaded eBay a couple of weeks ago because I have been searching for vinyls that I can’t find on like Depop and Mercari. I keep trying to buy items but nobody will sell to me since I have 0 feedback. I have come to the conclusion that I have to buy cheap items I don’t want just to get some sort of review to buy what I actually am looking for which is not fair.
Ebay Stole My Money! New payment system doesn’t work

Sold an item over 3 weeks ago and they said they sent my payment 2 weeks ago to my bank account. Still have not received my money and when I call customer service, all they say is “the funds were sent”. Well I’m telling you I never received it and called my bank and they never received anything on their end. Never had a problem in the past when they used PayPal for payments. Sadly will no longer be using eBay.
