Dust - a safer place to text is free iOS app published by Radical App LLC
rp unhappy with it
The recent update has taken away a serious level of security. Having to receive a code by text every time, as opposed to having a private login password, has really been a huge negative. Also, all of the flashy graphics doesn’t benefit the intent, this was meant to be discreet, not a billboard. You should really rethink some of the aspects of this update.

Should have read other reviews first! Awful, bright neon green color used! WHAT was the developer thinking?!?!?!

the old version pre january 2019 was a much better app. It had the ability to use video this does not. Too slow on loading. The color layout is horrible neon green on black background. layout with contacts available is not needed. lack of emojis for ios.

They decided to get rid of the public social media feed, making this a purely private app to chat on, making it no different than other private chat apps. They also got rid of groups and with the new update, they deleted my 70+ contacts and now I only have 5 contacts to talk to. With the new update, it was a s*** show and took 3+ weeks to manually migrate me into the new system because they don’t know how to code well. They killed the whole point of this app, and it’s now useless unless you want to send private messages to people you personally know. Thanks for becoming irrelevant and killing the community. Worst developers, worst leadership, and worst design ever.

Dust used to have a social element that is now gone. As a mere secure chatting app, there are better options, e.g., WhatsApp

With the “upgrade” we lost the ability to paste from outside the app, send video, and use Bitmojis. I miss those features.

The apps still buggy. I can’t copy and paste. There needs to be an option to set erase times like on signal

Dust gives you the privacy you want and allows you to delete messages out of the other persons phone and tells you when it gets screen shot.

Dust’s color scheme and font design are atrocious. That an app could be so annoying to look at in 2019 is puzzling. Mark Cuban is involved with Dust?? How can that be? Radical App needs to radically rethink Dust’s graphics. OMG.
