ENROLL WITH LANDLINE OPTION AND ENTER YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER My employer required me to use this app for two factor authentication and I read a bunch of negative reviews on here, including some horror stories, so I decided not to download this app onto my phone. My employer provided a link in an email and the first question is asked was “WHAT TYPE OF DEVICE” I wanted to use; Mobile Phone, Tablet, Landline, Security Key, or Touch ID. I went with the landline method and then entered my cell phone number. Now I don’t have to deal with this app, instead when I log into a work PC that I haven’t used in two weeks, “Duo” will call my cell phone and give me a code. THEY USE “LANDLINE” TERMINOLOGY CAUSE THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN USE A CELLPHONE NUMBER TO ACCESS. THEY WANT YOU TO BE FORCED TO USE THIS INTRUSIVE APP.

Locked me out of my Instagram it’s been months y’all should really fix your shot because you’ve screwed thousands of peoples lives. Codes that were meant to keep your account safe actually just robbed our accounts from us.

It lacks Face ID, Touch ID, and many other industry standard features. Also the Ui is a Bit meh in my opinion. It doesn’t help that the UX of the app is pretty annoying. It just seems like the features were talked about and just thrown together without real planning.

Never will I use this for any reason other than me being forced to. Makes my life just a bit harder for NO reason. This is like my third review just because it’s sooooo unecessary
Got a new phone DOESNT work with Wordpress

So the push notification doesn’t work now because I this app is a disaster all I wanna do is be able to use the app to access my website and now I can’t because they won’t let me without notifications particular recovery password I don’t have the recovery password anymore so I don’t know how to login to this account and it’s confusing so I really would appreciate it if someone could email me to figure this out because this is frustrating
Impossible to set up when transferring phone

Features, like the “reconnect automatically” toggle simply doesn’t work. I got a new phone and prior to setting up Duo on the nrw phone toggled this feature on. Now I still have to get in touch with IT to have the feature set up. There are better 2FA systems out there. Our IT just needs to get its act together and use a better one.
