Lots of fun!

Just getting into it but so far it's very enjoyable and has a lot of depth.

Must buy for retro game lovers!!!
indyfilmfool

I'm a child of the 80's, and a big fan of retro, rogue like RPGs, such as FTL. I just finished my first game (by getting swarmed by alien monsters when I least expected it and dying a naive, painful death). It was fantastic. This game is already one of my favorites. Easily worth more than $5.

I....

OMG OMG OMG +1 Fantastic gem, brilliantly polished, rogue-lite/strategy game hybrid. The visuals, the music, the game play - this has got it ALL!

An amazing port of an incredible game
Heliotropist

This is one of the best PC to iPad ports I have ever seen, easily the best since FTL. And the game itself is stunning in its depth and variety, not to mention that the iOS version includes additional DLC from the PC version for free right from the get go!

I don't understand this at all
Arcadiadiv

I don't understand this game at all. I found it a little unbalanced not to mention there was very little explanation on how things worked and no explanation on the different characters and their strengths and weaknesses. This game would be more playable if only things would be explained in game.

Pure Brilliance
Vfstrider

This game hits all the right notes on my piano. Rougelike, Procedurally Generated maps, Hard as hell, haunting music, original mechanics, engrossing story, memorable characters, bug and glitch free, retro graphics, this list is as endless as the dungeon. I can't recommend this game enough.

Strategy game w/ rogue like tower defense
DL problem

This game is a hybrid rogue like with tower defense that evolves into a deep strategy game. Had some opening day bugs with the sound and one of the characters abilities being unusable. Amplitude studios is a great developer; look at these small little opening day bugs worked out. Highly recommend for the strategy player or somebody who's looking for tower defense plus. Warning; game has a learning curve and rogue like Perma-death

Somewhere in the middle
Arcane Engineer

I like the concept, setting and challenge. I like that there is no horrible IAP crap. Unfortunately some aspects of the game become too tedious in later stages, killing the momentum and inciting both rage and despair. Manually deploying repairs after every wave is the worst. Running to artifacts to input your research every few turns (no research queue). Running across the level every wave to kill the stupid <Alert> ground pounder mobs. Puzzling design decisions, how did they pass playtesting? Needs some fine-tuning.

Wow A+++

I have become a diehard fan of Amplitude for the PC. They don't disappoint on iOS. This game is a polished strategy/TD/RPG. And, yes, it's "rogue-like". The game doesn't hold your hand, but failure is rewarding. The art is fantastic. It takes pixelated graphics to another level. You're getting a steal on this. It would be fair to charge $20 on a game with this polish, depth, and replayability. In a great week for the App Store, this is the top game.

Waste of money
Sillybeppo

Terrible game. Bad mix of genres. Don't buy the hype, it's not a tower defense. One gun type placement in a few rooms does not qualify. Rogue like, try rogue light. Procedural, no. Just a bunch of square rooms arranged in random. Minimal tactical consideration. No explanation of character abilities, what additional levels do for you. This is a waste. Total B.S.
