Very poor design and a service fee!

First charging a service fee of $1 for ordering with the app is outrageous. Secondly, I ordered at noon. They closed at 11:30am and so without any notice my order was submitted for pickup at 7:45am the next day with a $1 service charge. In my defense we had ordered a week before and they closed at 12:30pm. It seems simple to let your users know when the order will be ready and that there is a service fee BEFORE the order is submitted.

Our four year old wanted nothing more than duck donuts for her birthday; that experience has turned us into Duck Donut fans. Our new favorite place to get donuts!

Love the donuts but the app is frustrating to use. It takes way too long to put together an order. One of the perks of duck is that you get to select your own toppings but the app makes it difficult to do. If I order build my own dozen, I can’t chose fan favorites. If I am in the store then there I’d a section at the top of the ordering pad for those. It would be a lot easier if a user picked a dozen donuts and then there was one screen for each donut. Swipe right to the next one or swipe left to go back and change. My solution is to order from within the app at the store and then give them my order. The employee hand writes it n the receipt. Please be aware that they charge a $1 service fee. Why? The app helps the customer and the store, total junk app. Please fix the app.

They began charging a $1 service fee for the app and they don't provide any meaningful updates. I've submitted feedback multiple times to which they respond, but don't actually implement. How can you keep releasing new flavors but never change the list of fan favorites? They never implement an option to select seasonal flavors. It's incredibly tedious to build your own donuts rather than just let me select the seasonal donuts.

I love Duck Donuts, but...

This app is truly terrible. In ordering a half dozen, I couldn’t pick from pre-constructed donuts and had to enter the cake type, icings, toppings, and drizzles one by one. Then it couldn’t connect to the Cary store to complete my order and I had to call it in anyway. Needs a lot of work to be useable.
