Dog Slow

xjames212x

Cannot get more than 100kbps on downloads/viewing photos via drobo access. Locally my drobo is blazing fast, my internet is 300Mb, and everything else is fast -EXCEPT drobo access. Please fix the speed, otherwise this is a fantastic app.

Unstable and nearly unusable on Drobo 5N

Jason@i360

The app has a nasty tendency to disconnect from my drobo 5n before getting too deep into my shares. Performance is atrocious and renders this app almost completely useless for its stated purpose. Stick to normal NFS/samba file browsers

Flaky

When it works, it works great. Other times it “loads” and then never opens the file. It’s critical that I have access to my docs remotely. Hopefully this gets addressed, otherwise I need to find another personal cloud system.

Slow and can’t open files

MSF2000

Hasn’t been updated in over a year. I can browse the files on my Drobo but cannot do anything with them. Can’t upload. Can’t view. Even a simple text document. It appears to load and then just sits there. This app needs some major work.

App is crap

Kuyote

Can't find the server. Ever. At least it was free so I can delete it.

As subpar as it gets

Horrible connectivity, slow, cumbersome and unreliable when it does work and support is non-existent. I cannot believe that Drobo considers remote server access so unimportant as to delegate no attention at all to maintaining their product. The company should be downright embarrassed to even have their name on such a subpar app that hasn’t been updated in two years! Take some example from Western Digital, Drobo Inc. - their MyCloud solution works flawlessly in both desktop and mobile form. I will be buying my storage hardware from them from now on. Because easy and secure server access and supporting a company that actually improves and keeps their apps up to date is important to me. Thoroughly disappointing.

Unreliable, unprofessional

I’m a freelance graphic designer that was looking for my own personal cloud solution since I work with large files and don’t want them sitting on my working device in the field. Drobo sounded like the perfect fit, as I wouldn’t have monthly bills, or have to worry about anything. Unfortunately connecting the Drobo to Windows machines is not fun, or easy, it’s sluggish when it works. On mobile (where a majority of my work is done) it’s pretty much useless. Login in is easy, but looking at, downloading, sharing, or working on files on the drives never works. I would understand (since some files are large, others are just low res thumbnails for client purposes) if it was just slow, but it doesn’t connect almost 100% of the time. Please note that this rating is only for this app. Drobo works really well in your web browser. If you are using ‘files’ for iOS, if you are using this app, if you have the drive mounted as a drive in your windows or Mac machine You may run into MANY issues like, "it’s not possible to connect to the server at it time". Just use your web browser.

App no longer works.

The app no longer works. The Drobo states there is an update for Drobo Access, ever after I updated. Just states “registering”. Too bad, Drobo used to be top notch.

Seems abandoned by developer

First time trying cannot connect. I hear what others are saying. I bought 2 Drobo over time and happy how it works from redundancy but very slow and my 5N never worked with Mac. I am not able to edit any files so I got tired and switched back to FS as my primary. Spent quite $$$ on these so I will use it until I can’t and move on. The fact that you can’t even figure out a cloud access is telling on where you’re headed. At least not where I want to go. If Drobo has a different opinion, please reach out to me.

Can't login

iSnipePigs

Used the right username password and server. Can't even reset password. Useless
