Cute, but...

mobilere17

The game is very cute, but it's not really a "game." There's some sort of story that's not explained, and there are very few chances for the user to actually participate in the game itself. I'm hoping this will change with future updates, since it really is an interesting concept.

Incredible!

Much love to the developers for building a really creative and fun play on an RPG that "lives" with you. For all those that complain about the alarm not working that well, the graphics, the game not being that interactive, etc.: take a step back and admire the simplicity in execution of a concept that could easily call for an over complicated architecture that ultimately misses the point!

A Critique

I went to an unconventional play called "Sleep No More" in the Chelsea Arts District in New York, earlier this year. I would highly recommend you read about it because in essence, you are doing a very similar thing, but the aspect lacking in your game vs that play, one where you roamed around where ever you want within a complex and would "find drama", is that you simply have only background graphics to appreciate... I don't care if he's fighting anything; often times it's while being blocked by a piece of the foreground. When I go to check a text, the level restarts and I go back to a place I've already seen, disabling me from seeing the rest of the level unless I actually want to ignore the critical texts and emails that I have coming through. As someone with a brain, I want to see a story line... I want to see interaction within the game, make it come alive and give the character some actual depth. Additionally... The "game" is kinda just broken. He's never doing anything, he's just in a constant state of flashing white. He's always out of HP even though I've never checked the game that day and sometimes I'll tap him and he'll go to this one screen, the one that pretty much is my entire experience with the game: the one where he sits around the lamp. Yawn. You have some serious thinking to do before this is actually close to being a polished piece.... But I really like the concept, it has a lot of potential, but turn it into a TV show, with a story line, that you can tune into, and want to continue to tune into.

Great app alarm! Just need a little tune up.

The app alarm is awesome and original, but we cant forget that the main idea of a alarm, is to wake you up when you need it. Me for example like to put the iphone in silence mode when I go to sleep, and the only sound that I want to hear till I wake up, is the sound of the alarm. (Not any incoming call, text, notifications etc.) If you can give a option to put the iphone in silence mode and still hear the alarm, would be awesome! ?

Cool Concept. But not really fun.

It isn't very fun. I really like the idea. The art is great too. But it's often boring to look at for more then a few seconds. I understand the point is for us to imagine the story and quest the character goes on. But there needs to be more of a story told through animations or pictures or events. You don't need text, but you do need something. Please work on this I would like to see more. I would like to give it a higher score too.

Well

I really do want to like this, well you can't call it a game. But there's no point to it. I've tried it off and on but there literally is no interaction. I understand it's supposed to be a relaxation program, but you might as well get something that randomly generates colors and save your money.

Not bad

The controls are a bit confusing at first. Took me a while to figure out how to set the alarm. But overall, it is enjoyable.

It's... An alarm clock

I got this cause the preview looked interesting. I knew what it was, but I get bored easily and figured it'd be a change of pace. I use it at work cause I can't be playing a video games... But it's nice to watch things unfold.... If they ever do. It's.... Nice. Haha. There's not much to say. He just walks. I would hope there would be a little more interaction in an update or something. Or maybe even attempt a story. Add random events that trigger at certain times or locations. Excellent idea, but I'm left a little wanting. Overall, it is what it is. A fancy alarm clock. I already use an alarm clock so... Hopefully they upgrade it in an update. *** update While I still rate it at 3 stars, I've kept with it for a few more days. It's more enjoyable once you get the gist of it. What they don't tell you, even in the guide book, is that events do happen. On the map there's a time "ex. 21:00"... And at 9:00pm, you'll reach a "boss" and once you defeat it, you get a traveling buddy. Also, one day I slept later. I usually try to keep the little guy awake when I'm awake, and asleep when I'm asleep. My little robot boy, didn't recover enough energy the next morning. The game was telling me I needed more sleep. Pretty inventive! Haha... Needless to say, my character barely made it to the "boss" and died. I slept earlier that night. Haha... Anyway, nothing really changed about the "game". It's just a matter of perspective. Personally, I enjoy his little journey, and hopefully there's a bit more for him to do in the future. Side note: the alarm clock saved my life a time it two! Haha.

I really love this alarm clock. It would be nice to see it expand, like he gains gear, and new skills. Even being updated on what he does in text or notifications would be nice. I came back to check on him yesterday and he had a new friend, I wish I had been there to see it happen. Great job, guys ! Edit: it would be nice if we could edit companions names and gear as well!

Did you enjoy having a virtual pet who you could feed and it would sleep and walk around? Same thing but for RPGs. He walks around in a few different areas, fights “Monteslas” and sleeps. Sound boring? Kinda is, but for some reason I keep coming back to it everyday. The music and animation is beautiful, which for me completely outweighs the repetition. It's like a beautiful tapestry on a wall, that you never get bored of looking at.
