Great gameplay

Just overlook the weird graphics. So good.

In need of a major rebalance

Hazard Harry

One of the most fun aspects of playing any roguelike is learning from your deaths. But besides how you build your deck, there seems to be no further strategy in playing besides the order in which you play your cards. There also seems to be an over-reliance on monsters that simply discard cards from your hand or worse. Exiling cards, replacing them with curses, monsters that chain ridiculous combos, etc. There are very few ways to play around your opponent's cards (unless your character has an ability that allows them to bypass the monster completely). I love games that are hard, but there has to be a few more layers of strategy. Maybe when I unlock all of the cards the game will be balanced, or maybe I'm playing this game completely wrong, but I've completely hit a wall in progress where all I can do is grind achievement points to unlock cards and it feels like I'm cheating. This game does have a hook. I'm rapidly closing in on the 100 death mark. But man, it would be so much more fun if the game didn't boil down to a card chucking match. Side note: The game difficulty doesn't seem to change anything. Not sure what's up with that, but hey, if Velociraptor is exactly the same difficulty as Grizzly Bear I welcome the free increase in achievement points. : )

It's 2:00 am but must play

Love this awesome deck builder. Totally worth the purchase price. Graphics are fine. Want to keep playing way past bedtime. Only wish you could keep a card for the next play through when you die.

Fun the first few times

The reviewer who commented on the balance in this game; or lack thereof; is spot on. Good luck getting past level 3. Not a bad concept, just poor execution in this game.

Incredible

One of my favorite games for iOS. The gameplay is perfect but the graphics could use a revamp. I'm sure if they were improved much more people would be playing.

Phenomenal

Piyopiyo13

Tons of content (already played four hours or so on just 1/13 characters), interesting and varied enemies, challenging level of difficulty and terrible graphics. If you like board games like Dominion or Star Realms, you'll feel right at home. This is some of the best money I've ever spent for an app, full stop.

The king of Deckbuiders

Bissy Pusscase

Seriously.

Extremely poorly balanced

Appler-Kid

Too difficult for every class except rogue which is brain dead easy. 99% of games are unwinnable. Barely any strategies possiboe because of the huge randomness.

An Impressive Game

NicktheWizard

I was asked to play this game by a personal friend of the creator, thinking "yeah yeah yeah, I'll support your friend for a few bucks and see what he's done." Having played many games like this in multiple venues, I am satisfied and challenged by this game. The deck building aspect remains interesting and flexible. Like a true dungeon crawler, luck plays a large role in your success. If you don't get the right cards on the first floor, you're going to be in trouble. But if you don't, and you win out, you're going to remember it and feel the rush for awhile.

Super fun!

Dream Quest will have you hooked in minutes. If you enjoy deck building then this game is certainly for you. This is easily one of the best games I've played on mobile.
