Don’t get me wrong I love this game I’m playing it nonstop, but please fix whatever is going on with the lucky chest draws, I have draw about 10 times that is 30,000 gems and I haven’t get a single pice of the dragon armor at all, so please check on this matter, by the way you all are the best thanks

So addicting!!

Yesterday on USA launch day, I didn’t realize but by the end of the day I had logged over 8 hours into this game and had spent $0. The micro transactions aren’t necessary, (almost) everything can be obtained through grinding that doesn’t take forever. It’s a very well made iOS game. This is coming from a massive fan of the Dragon Quest franchise and someone who NEVER plays iOS games. Download it and give it a try! You might like it. It will help expose you to the wonderful world of Dragon Quest. I love this game!!

red stone to get the 14days pass

I can not use the red stone to get 14days pass. Please fix it

Well Made with little to no “play to win”

SlyFML

A fun game that’s easy to AFL in with charming characters and linked menus

Paywall $9/mo auto battle and gear

RPGenie

If a character dies in battle it gets no experience so you can’t carry a new vocation to level it. There doesn’t appear to be any catch up leveling mechanics either. Game is nice until you notice those things.

Just wow

Uninstalled first day

Was super excited to get this when I saw it for pre order on the store. Played it for an hour after it downloaded. Saw that it was very heavy on pay to progress at all. Who wants to launch a game, pick a destination and then sit and wait for your characters to get there running at a snails pace. Sure I could fork over some bucks but apps are meant to be fun time killers. Not kill your time while you watch your characters do nothing but run from one location to the next. Could have been so much better.

My first Dragon Quest game!!

Blobert1747

This is the first Dragon Quest game i’ve played since the movie “Dragon Quest: Your Story” got me very interested in this series. Fun gameplay with an interesting story. This may be a spinoff game, but it’s very cool and I would love to play to original games someday! :)

Overall Review

So I have completed the first island in it’s entirety, all main and sub quests, and have a player level of 4 with my team all level 10. The first island teaches you the basics and towards the end introduces status effects, mainly after you get the ship, which so far haven’t really bothered me. They are auto healed once the fight is over if they aren’t taken care of during the fight as well. Combat is pretty much auto already, I don’t see the point in paying a subscription for full auto, in that the characters will normal attack a monster of their choosing while you select the skill they use once it’s ready. The goal is to kill a monster using a skill for a skillful finish. Normally it’s only the boss you have to do that for quest wise but sometimes you quest will be to get 3 skill finishes so it’s a good habit to get into boss fight or not. You can also select a monster to have your team focus their normal attacks on that target which is useful to take out the status causing enemies first. I like the graphics and the music. After the 1st island is fully completed you unlock crafting where you can add more slots and speed up crafting using gold which is nice since you get gold just by playing and doing quests meaning you don’t have to spend money. You can also upgrade your weapons and armor however that’s unlocked before crafting. At your home base there is also a safe storage and a buyback merchant however I haven’t used either yet so can’t review those. Skills are customizable based on the gear you are using and also some are given as quest rewards like heal and squelch. I am greatly enjoying the game and look forward to continuing, especially for unlocking jobs and also for unlocking multiplayer. I’ll update my review once I’m further in. My only complaint so far is that I wish there was an option for having combat be true turn by turn. ...I wish there was a DQMJ for iOS as well...*wink wink* :P
