Good game

So far I like it

Needs improvement

Siel_la

It’s a decent game, but hard to fully enjoy playing due to how slow paced it seems comprares to the original. The dragon feels like the game moves at a crawl even with maxed speed, and the boss battles just seem tedious. That, and there seem to be a few glitches that make the game harder, such as the fact that half of the time the guns don’t even hit their target (unlike DH1 where it was always a hit if you were close enough with the sword), power ups don’t take effect if they hit a peripheral area like the tail, but somehow enemies hit the tail and it still deals full damage. Some of the non-boss enemies seem to deal a ridiculous amount of damage too, even more than the bosses in some cases.

Improvement on first game in every way

I was big fan of first game. Played it to something like level 200. This is such an improvement. While the first was basically the same level (and boss) over and over again, this game has outstanding variety. In environments, mobs, bosses, and upgrades. I'm not sure what people complaining about the difficulty are talking about. It's harder than the first one, but far from a difficult game. You will have to fight some bosses multiple times while you save for upgrades, but it's fun while you do, and you will eventually take them down. I've faced maybe 15 bosses so far. Most I beat in 1-5 tries, while a few of the harder ones took 10-15 tries. And it's incredibly rewarding when you do beat the harder ones. Support premium gems like this. Everything a sequel should be.

Clunky

The first one was better, because it was fast-paced and smooth. The environments here are extremely noisy (they look great, but there’s too much going on). Hiding power-ups inside boxes really discourages you from trying to go to fast... which really slows everything down. If you spend your time bobbing to build speed, you’re going to miss a lot of upgrades, and the faster you go, the more you miss. I think “slow” really is the best way to describe the game. The boss battles are a bit like playing Mario Kart at 150cc’s — no matter how fast you get your slow dragon going, enemies magically stay out of reach 90% of the time. Even with speed boost activated, bosses manage to stay out of reach. Also, at least in the first two worlds, when you beat a boss THE GAME STOPS. Whyyyyyyyy?!? Part of mastering the first Dragon Hills was seeing how many boss waves you could get through! I had such high hopes for this game. It looks beautiful, and there are some cool ideas here... but if you loved the first on as much I did, then you will likely find yourself frustrated and a little sad. Hopefully they’ll iron out the kinks, because right now it feels like the developer kinda failed to identify what was fun about the original.

Great game! Needs improvement on iPad mini 3 does not run smooth at all!!!! Other wise for me would be 5star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️game, very fun!

Disappointed too

Old ft

Liked the first one. Was excited to see this one. But, like so many others have said, the difficulty is high, and the reward is low. I can see it’s going to take a major grind to get anywhere. I want to have fun, not grind. Sadly, deleted.

It’s not perfect but we need more games like this

Johnmakuta

I really love this game. It does feel really slow at first but the more you play it, the more it speeds up. On thing, I’m using an iPhone X, would love to see an update to make it work with the bigger screen better! Love the music in it! I actually turn off my podcast to listen to it! Absolutely love it, totally addicted. I’m sitting here playing this instead of my switch!!!! I really love to see a developer who isn’t dipping into micro transactions which I completely avoid. Thank you!!!!

Zany Good Fun

Left a glowing review of this game, the review disappeared, so I'm done putting any time into them just to have some glitch with iOS ruin my efforts.

Almost a great game

Questtt

Beware. It takes about 5 hours of gameplay before the game becomes enjoyable Main gripes (1) bosses have so much health, it takes forever to kill them. It’s a bit boring, takes an even amount of luck and skill and It makes the game not nearly as mobile friendly (2) one of the bass grinding abilities (ie abilities you have to max before you can really play the game) is speed. The speed at lvl 1 is painfully slow. About as slow as the worm dragon in the first game. It’s bad game design to start the game incredibly boring and force players to grind out of the bore

Potential for more

Hmsbeagle75

It has the potential to be as good or better then the first, but the boss fights are slow and take too long that it really degrades the experience.
