I sort of don't get it!

Amiantos

I like it, but I don't understand what determines whether a piece of ground will collapse. It seems totally random and I can't really figure out how to know when I should be cautious or not. UPDATE: I think I've realized finally that the trick is to take it slow. I'm still terrible, but this is always my go-to iPhone game when I'm bored. UPDATE 2: Still the only game I consistently re-install whenever I restore my iPhone. I still don't really get it, and I feel like I am terrible at it, but it's still fun for some reason! The developer's recent update about how he plays his own game all the time and tries to make it more fun according to his needs really resonates me as a indie game developer myself.

In its own class.

So iPhone games seriously come and go on my phone almost on a daily basis. This game has withstood the test of time, though, and is always the lone standing, go-to game on my iPhone. The overall flow of its gameplay is excellent, and great for quick plays. It's not riddled with menus and IAPs. It's just simple, skill-based gameplay at its finest. One of my favorite iOS games ever.

Great game...

Ge3x

It reminds me of a more simplistic version of Spelunky which is a great compliment. I'll definitely be playing this for a while.

Excellent

Last Patriot

Super fun! An addictive digger game. Just wanna go a little deeper... beat the high score... get a little more stuff... The Dev updates and tweaks the game- constantly trying to improve it. It seems to be a labor of love and it shows! It's well worth every star!!!

Awesome game, awesome developer

The developer cares about their game and is continuing to update and improve it. Can't recommend it enough.

A fantastic little game

djephri

I love that the developer(s) are still tweaking this little gem so long after initial release. Always something new. A great game and a long term favorite. Thanks for all your work maintaining and updating!

I play all the time

I love this game. Including the changes. My go to game when I only have a minute or 5.

One of the greats

fiftyfoot

Easily one of my all time favorite iOS games. It's just too much fun to get lost in the challenge of it. May seem simple to some, too hard for others but like any great game you have to find the rhythm in it, the strategy hiding in getting deeper and deeper without being squashed and using everything to your advantage to rack up a great score. Also hard to beat an indie developer that loves his own gave enough to contribute to improve upon it rather than abandon it like so many other great games before it. Keep on digging.

Thanks for updates

Revising my review again, this is an easy to pick up, hard to put down App Store gem. Switched phones a few times and Doug dug always makes the cut. Constant updates and tweaks to improve the game are a big bonus to an already fun game. Simple digger to take up time you didn't have to begin with ?.

A truly great iOS game

MikeQuinlan

The author points out that he plays this game and it really shows. There are always new features, updates to the game balance, and other improvements which keeps the game from getting boring or tiresome. I always come back to play more. I really love killing the cute little dragons which were introduced a few releases ago! Thank you for doing this.
