Such a short yet deeply satisfying game in pacing and story.

You go Terry Cavanaugh!

A hidden gem! I've played a couple of Terry Cavanaugh's other games and loved them. Super Hexagon was a lot of fun and VVVVVV kept me up waaaay past bedtime. This is the first game of his where I've felt like the story shined above the gameplay. The others were exemplars of solid control, gameplay, and design. Don't Look Back offers something a little different. The control isn't as tight, the level design isn't as solid, but the experience as a whole shines. I believe that is due to the integration of story, portraying themes of love, loss, remembrance, and grief in a simple and beautiful way. It is the video game equivalent of a haiku, conveying its message succinctly with a deep understanding of the form. Please keep making games, Terry Cavanaugh. And don't be afraid to tell stories.

Holy crap!

This game was awesome. Just goes to show that you don't need graphics if you have good gameplay. Terry should make more of these. This was a great experience.

Can't even

I can't deal with the controls. There are some parts in the game that get way to difficult but otherwise good game

Short and Amazing

Mondula

Never have I ever enjoyed a challenge in games the way I did here.

good story, cramped hands

Gameplay is entertaining, as is the short plot. Only problem is the tiny controls all the way at the bottom of my screen. :/ Has me swearing as I miss the button by a cm or two, making me start over with my already hurting fingers.

Awesome.

Torten Prime

Don't Look Back is a masterpiece. A simple, beautiful masterpiece.

There are worse games

Talesmith

Game time runs about 30 min before completion. Controls are very unpredictable and are the sole contribution difficulty; That and the one hit kill. At least when you die, you get to try that screen over and over. The other reviews suggest there's a story here, so be on the lookout for some meaning behind super duper retro blocks of pixels. Like, I'm not mad I played this game and It only lasted 30 min. If it had been any longer, I'd have removed two stars, it wouldn't have been worth it. The best part of the game is the moody music.

GREAT

Server.exe

Unlike many games today this game provided s refreshing challenge,. Al lot of games rosy are very easy and this reminds me of Games that came a long time go like super Mario Bros. Some of the difficulty of the bosses reminded me of playing The original legend of Zelda. This is a must play for people who like platforming and a lot of challenge, but not too much that it makes you want to throw your device. Just on thing , MAKE A SEQUEL. If you will and new content and mechanics to make the game more fun. Great game overall though,
