Wow

Amazing results! Definitely worth the money. Best stabilization app I've found. It just works. Cannot import video but that's understandable as it requires the gyro to make its calculations. Only thing that would put this over the top would be full hd support. I would gladly pay for that.

Awful!!!! Defective app

appleapps2000

Every thing was very good until I made an update on the November 2012 release. I use iphone 4 ios 5.1.1 but app actually can not do what its designed for!! It crashes constantly at the moment you press stabilize video. No matter when, it happens all time and app can not perform its main job. It just can capture the video like a normal video app but NO stabilize on new update. I have removed and installed it several times but still is same. Developer please fix this problem.

Extremely Disappointing and Worthless

Pro App Reviews

First off, let me explain that THE WHOLE REASON I BOUGHT AN iPAD WAS TO USE DOLLYCAM. And, after I bought it, I discovered that DollyCam was not compatible with the (then) newest iPad, iPad 3. I wrote to the Developers, and was informed that they would come up with an update after they had a chance to examine the camera specs of "The New iPad." I waited -- LITERALLY -- everyday for 6 months, for an update. I have about 1,300 apps on my iPad, so each day I would scroll through the dozen or so updates of various apps, HOPING to see DollyCam listed among them. And then the day came. It was nearly 6 months after the release of the new iPad, but at least it was here. I downloaded the update with glee, and set out to record my first clip of DollyCam-stabilized video. (Yes, I had used Luma before, but really wasn't impressed.) And, lo and behold! It sucked! Badly. The video is absolutely awful, and shows no signs of being stabilized at all. In fact, even AFTER stabilizing the footage, (all shot while traveling in straight lines, with no turning left or right, as instructed), the footage looks as bad as it would without any correction at all. These clips were taken while WALKING at a pretty slow pace. Very slow, as a matter of fact, on smooth terrain. (It's hard to get smoother than a concrete driveway.) So I can't be faulted for overtasking the software, or pushing it beyond reasonable limits. If it can't handle walking in a driveway at 1 mile per hour, then what CAN it handle? The resulting footage reminds me of the scene from Jurassic Park, where a giant dinosaur is coming, and you can see evidence of its approach in the ripples in a nearby glass of water. With every footstep, the water ripples... And in the case of DollyCam, with every step of the videographer, (in this case, ME), the footage looks as if it is a reflection in a pool of water, with someone stamping their feet nearby, causing ripples and shockwaves in the reflection. How useful is THAT? I went again to the DollyCam website and watched those videos that inspired me enough to buy an iPad in the first place. Oh, they are so smooth! But not as smooth as the Swedish con artists who got my money from me by selling me a worthless app. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY THIS APP. Instead, make a video of yourself lighting dollar bills on fire and smoking them. You won't have the cash anymore, but at least you and your friends will get quite a big laugh out of it. Almost as much as the Swedish con artists who stole my money. Only difference is, they get to laugh AND keep the money.

It's back!!!!
