This time, trying to make a mobile deposit and the camera doesn’t work. I have tried both a hard and soft reset on the iPhone and deleting and reinstalling the app. Last update was three years ago . . . That says a lot.

Firstly, the app has been sitting at its current version for at least 2 years as of the writing of this review. That’s your first red flag. Secondly, when I opened it up, it was clearly not designed for my current phone, as the screen didn’t fit. Thirdly, it could not validate my credentials. Apparently the app uses a different one. This is a terrible user experience from the get go. Dollar Bank’s digital team should be ashamed.

The entire point of getting this app for my small business was to use mobile deposit. I had gotten used to the ridiculously slow processing times, constantly getting locked out of the app and online, and generally trying to manage its woefully inadequate and clunky interface but the coup de grace...the mobile deposit no longer works! PLEASE update

It blows my mind this app has had zero updates in the last three years. I cannot make remote deposits as the app cannot access the camera. When I called to get help, the response was sympathetic but there appears to be zero desire to address these major shortcomings.

Months ago, I went to deposit a check using Cash Analyzer via remote deposit on my iPhone and found that the camera in the app showed only a black screen. When I called Dollar Bank I was told this was a “known issue” and that I would need to physically take every check to the bank. It’s been six months with no fix for this issue. The lack of attention to their technology makes me seriously question the security of the bank in this day and age.

Will it ever be fixed?.....

I agree with Jodi’s review. I love to stay and support local, but this app doesn’t work. The login never gets me in. I have similar frustrations with the online banking for my small business. I’m very frustrated with dollar bank not keeping up with the technology of the competitors. I’m ready to move on.

Ap does not perform remote-deposits because the camera has a black screen. Apparently this is aa problem Dollar Bank has known about for a long time with no fix. Very disappointing and a waste of time.
