Dictation app - time saver

This app saves me a lot of time. I’ll dictate my notes and then copy/send them to my email to keep on file.... and print later. It’s a great app for dictating things like where I have various shop tools and small parts stored, or where I have important files to let my wife and kids know. It’s so easy to edit words that aren’t in the dictionary. I use the app at least weekly.

I use it in five languages. Although I have not figured out how to give the punctuation I want, that is a small price to pay for what this is.

Are used to have the Dragon dictate app it was superb. This app is very good too but still needs a lot of improvements

I got this app as a free download and one day while using it a couple of the options weren’t available. I went to use it later and when I pressed dictate it was a button to purchase and since it read my thumb print, I was automatically charged $13.99 and was unable to get a refund.

If you purchased this app and are wondering why it has such a high rating when it doesn’t work nearly as well as its predecessor, here’s the reason... Years ago, I liked the Dragon app so much that I paid a fortune for it, only to have it discontinued after a few years with no refund or explanation. Dictate was meant to be the app equivalent. In free mode, it translated pretty clearly but if I wanted to send my translation to someone else, I had to buy it. I did. Reluctantly since I had already paid a lot for similar software that stopped working.This app Dictation stopped translating clearly when I switched to new headphones. To make matters worse, after I used it a couple of times, I started getting a popup message. This was annoying. Popups on the paid version of an app. The popup said if I rated the app, I would never see that popup again. Every time I tried translating a new line I got that popup message. Agitated, I finally pressed rate the app, fully intending to give it one star. Much to my surprise, the button automatically gave the app a five star rating... from me. I don’t recommend this app!!!
