Freaking amazing

RH13105

A full CE-DICT dictionary list crammed into an iPhone app that allows you to search by pinyin, character, or English meaning. There is so much flexibility inherent here, and the fact that the iPhone by default allows you to draw in characters that you don't know the pinyin to allows you to translate pretty much anything in front of you. Absolutely a must for any traveler. Did I mention it was free?

great app

zzdirect

helpful and easy to use

Great handy dictionary

ktywg

I can't believe this app is free. I've been looking for a reliable dictionary for a while. It's easy to use and I like how all types of writing and definitions are on the same page (especially with the traditional Chinese and pinyin, so I know it's the word I'm thinking of). Really great because my Chinese literacy is limited and now I can easily look up words to translate for my parents.

Perfect!

I'm currently learning Mandarin in use university and this is the best and most used of my dictionaries. I wish you would make an iPad version. :) Keep up the good job!

Great app

Afjdy

Speed and fairly comprehensive vocab set. Could use chengyu (4word idioms) addition though. Love the character writing quiz function. Wish could quiz on pinyin as well though. Also wish that there was some way to keep track of which ones were missed for both the quiz and flashcard system. That would makethis app practically perfect.

Meh

Update Crashes

Mukeli

I've had this app for years and it worked great until I downloaded the latest update. The app crashes 2-3 times before remaining stable for a few moments and crashing again.

Not what it used to be

Dissatisfied87

The app hasn't worked for me since the update. I used it as a quick reference lookup tool if I needed to know a word quickly, and liked it better than Pleco for this function. However, since the update it now requires me to sign in and sync with their online site. I do not have, nor do I wish to have a registered account, but I find that I am unable to even use the dictionary function without signing up. Thanks but no thanks guys.
