On my dcf888 the app isn’t showing what the tool speed is that I custom programmed it at. I programmed it and when going back to see what it is set at in the app all speeds show 3250 rpm’s. I can hear when pressing the trigger that it’s still set at the custom speeds though. Also the app will not restore tool to factory defaults when hitting restore. Every setting stays custom.
I bought dewalts DCD797 drill and the DCF888 impact driver with tool connect. They worked with this app for about a week and then they both stopped working. I can’t disable, identify, unpair either tool!!! Here’s where dewalts true colors show. I have emailed them SEVERAL times concerning the issue and they never respond. These Bluetooth tools are EXPENSIVE and they don’t work! Thanks dewalt for screwing me. I’ve been trying to resolve this for 6 months now. I hoped this update would fix my problem but it didn’t.
I could track my tool the only thing i can’t do is disable identify or unpair it only worked for like 3 hours not sure if it’s the tool or app
It’s an okay light, boss purchased for a small job, tried connecting bluetooth capabilities to my phone but got stuck on naming my device part of setup. After naming my device there’s no way I could complete setup because my keyboard wouldn’t go away, the connect button is conveniently located at bottom in which my keyboard is covering it!! I tried several times to figure how to get my keyboard to drop or get out the way, after a number of random ideas it finally went away (don’t really know how??). ...Otherwise the app has great options and is easy for me to use!
I currently have all Black & Yellow. These tools are very tough, this Bluetooth option is a little over the top. Very Cool so far.
I love that I can track my power tools, specially when they cost me a pretty penny.
Just got it form office, Bluetooth pairing is easy, use it easy, looking forward to using on regular basis,
