There’s 4 thing that I have problems with in this app. 1. Sometimes the app goes into periods of time where when I try to add something to my favorites it automatically unfavs, even if restart/refresh the app. 2. Sometimes there’s a glitch that happen when I fav something it unfavs and I have to tap the fav button(s) again. 3. It freezes and I have to reset the app! 4. Crashs! If this these get fixed and some stuff like being able to access more settings like on the website, Example: browsing settings, I would give this a 5 Edit: there is also a problem where some stuff gets mature tagged on the app but not the website and another thing the website lets me do is reveal mature tagged images without turning off the mature filter, which the app doesn’t let me do.
App is frustrating to use; not user friendly

Honestly, I recommend going to the website than download this. Everything is counterintuitive and exceptionally difficult to use. The app isn’t optimized for landscape submissions, neither for device size or resolution. Images appear to fit in the center but not to the dimensions of the device you’re using. There is no good swipe left, right, up or down and it took me longer than usual to understand that if I wanted to look at the artist’s description I have to literally tap the menu bar on the bottom, hold and pull up to the top of the screen to read. Do you want to look at the submission and the description at the same time? Unfortunate. Not to mention, but where you’re swiping up determines what you’re looking at, whether it’s comments, favoriting, etc. It’s frustrating to swipe up the wrong direction halfway through and comments start loading when I’m only interested in the description. As well, tapping the star icon to add to favorites also brings up that menu bar even when it’s not desired. Submitting is another confusing task. I wasn’t made aware that I could add tags, but I was sure to know that I could mention other DA users! Very useless to me. If I am uploading, I am interested in an easy to understand at a second’s notice UI, not a game of where to find what you need without it taking forever. It’s an ok app, but it makes me more frustrated every time I open it and sometimes I regret even using it. Please make the app more user friendly and create an intuitive UI. Thank you and God bless.
A Couple Of Features That Should Be On DeviantART

The App version is really great, but there is a couple of features missing. Could it have like a editing feature, like editing Titles, Descriptions, Tags, and File Destinations for an upload? And also another feature is the Stash. If I’m like writing a story or something, and I have to get to sleep, It would be in saved in the Stash.

It won’t allow me to make an account. I’ve tried multiple times. I’ve also deleted and downloaded the app again but nothing works. Every time it just does the same thing.

Honestly it gets annoying getting logged out of your account randomly. I think this is the only app that I have that has logged me out of my account multiple times. This happens so frequently that I’m considering just getting rid of the app because it’s such a pain to deal with.

More recent updates - while adding functionality - have failed to address the Apps instability. Primarily, when viewing galleries or scrolling through artwork, the app will freeze and become unresponsive. This forces a restart upon which you loose your place in your art search. Given how prominently this app is marketed on Deviant Art’s website, I feel it should be more stable at this stage of its development.

I truly wish I could have a DA app that functions at least very similar to the website- which is a lot easier to use and navigate. Basically, use this app as a last resort of navigating DeviantArt. Using the Google app to search for the website and logging in even works better. Hell, even using Safari on an Apple device works 100% better than this app. It’s very confusing; and oh by the way, never think about deleting something from your page- cause you can’t do that on the app. There are a LOT of work needing to be done on this, I really hope to see a better version in the future.
