When logging in you cannot paste a password into the password field from a password manager app. Also, the exclusive bonus content you can find is just YouTube videos with developers talking about their product... Not a praxis kit or alternate clothes/appearance or snappy new sniper rifle. What a let down.

Triangle scanner does not work

Very slow for an offline app. There is potential as a helper to the game with maps and such, however it is very slow. Besides the triangle scanner does not work. The way it is atm this is useless. We need a good update...

Don't waste your time, it is not worth the effort, incredibly disappointed they pushed this into the game.

Doesn't sync to game at all

The app is supposed to sync to your game so you can view your stats. Problem is the database section that lists all the stats in the game shows "0", nothing, nada even after logging in and connecting the account. I've spent the past 20 minutes trying to figure this out. Turns out many people have this problem and have posted to the SquareEnix and DeusEx forums but no one is officially responding to them. It seems the app simply doesn't sync at all. Aside from that, everything else is buggy as heck and very slow. Disappointing.

Pause the game for 8 minutes to download the app and register an account, then finally try to log in: "ip blocked. Try again later." Huh? Why is my ip blocked? What can I do about it (since there's no reason to assume it will be unblocked soon). Sigh. Give up.

Don't Bother Wasting Your Time / Memory on iPhone

First of all, I will point out that app only has a single use and that is to scan triangle codes collected in game. None of the other features - showing your stats from the game, showing items from the Database tab in game, ect. - actually work as there is no way (at least not an easily discernable one) to connect the app to the actual game. Second, even if those features did work, the primary reason people probably download the app is b/c of the "additional content" promised in game if you download the Deus Ex Universe app and scan the codes. When I see the words "additional content", I think actual in game content - not YouTube videos where the devs talk about the game. I don't mean to make it sound like I don't care about the devs and what they have to say as we wouldn't have games without them, but given that my time (and likely yours as well) is limited, 1) I don't have time to sit here and listen to YouTube videos about the deeper meaning of something in the game and 2) feel like Square-Enix should explain what the "additional content" actually is as it somewhat feels like false advertising. Lastly, even if you don't mind most of the features not working, and even if you're interested in watching the videos from the devs, chances are you will get annoyed fairly quickly with the scanning part of the app. It does not have the ability to zoom in on your TV screen to make the triangle fit into the viewing area, so chances are you will have to waste time getting up and trying to get the triangle code positioned correctly so that the app can recognize it when it scans. That along with piss poor keyboard integration/interaction doom this app (and that's even if everything else worked correctly) so don't waste your time or your phone's memory on this junk!

So I bought Deus Ex at GameStop as a Must Play Game according to My Friends and as I'm playing, this Little Triangle appears in My In-Game Email.. so I clicked on it and it told me to Use This App to View It and I Did! The Registration is Quick and Easy, The Scanner is Efficient and didn't stall at all, and So Far.. I'm having a Great Gaming Experience! - BruhMonJee (YouTube, DJ, BRUHcorp.)
