Nah

If you’re looking to catch up on old issues it great for that, but if you are looking for current issues, it’s a nope.

Great service, horrible app

Rerun717

I love the concept of the service- $80Ish/year to access DC’s comics older than 6 months. The app however is a nightmare compared to ComiXology and Marvel Unlimited. The screen is incredibly non-responsive. I’ll often take an action and then wait 5 seconds to see if my touch or swipe registered. When trying to advance pages, same story. The ability to sort comics, create libraries, etc are not as easy as Marvel Unlimited. The one positive I see with DC vs Marvel is that DC let’s you download more comics (Marvel caps at 12 offline). With how crappy the screen response is, I feel the need to download the comics.

Flawless comic reader

I have been using this app daily for the past few weeks and think it’s great. Very similar to Marvel Unlimited but this somehow seems more polished, which is an achievement with it being much newer. I love the ability to add entire runs or storylines to my library and it manages to track my progress. Will continue to subscribe for a long time.

Great Customer Service. 4 Stars due to complications

Matthewq76

I have purchased a subscription for the service twice and it has worked well both times. I was able to receive and redeem all 6 codes for Fortnite however I had to contact customer support multiple times but ultimately only took about 5 days to get all my codes. I got GREAT customer service from Jenna, she always responded at a reasonable time and was able to help me with my issues when others could not. Give that girl a raise.

This could be so much better…

I love that that the app has mostly all the essentials that I’d need to catch up on, however, it’s the bugs and constant lags that ruins the experience. Even on the newest iPhone, offline content will take forever to load and the search engine for comics doesn’t give you exact results.

Great comic book app

Hot1dog

Although the app isn’t a smooth of an experience as marvel unlimited, this app is great. I love the ability to create “playlists” which marvel doesn’t have. I wish there was a more streamlined way to look at ur library however. But it’s also nice to be able to just add a series to favorites instead of having to add them one by one. It would be nice if there was a way to select multiple issues at a time. My only real frustration is that sometimes I’ll be reading a story and halfway through, or sometimes even a page or 2 from the ending, it’ll jump me back to the first page of the comic. Overall a great app though.

What happened to the shows

Coco435

I downloaded this app and pay for a year membership for what when I don’t know where I’m gonna do movies or shows are on here and now I have to watch doom patrol on HBO plus and pay extra why did you guys remove the shows and movies

One major gripe that ruins it

wildin'

This is not optimized for iPhones with notches. In the zoom-panel mode, whole portions of dialogue are cut off. I only have my phone, and if I have to constantly zoom in and out with some artists styles, and while it seems so silly it becomes really tedious. If reading comics is tedious and I don’t use it, I’d rather cancel this service and put that money towards more physical comics from shops. Again, I know it seems silly because otherwise it’s a very good service, I don’t have any other issues. But not all of us have tablets and all newer iPhones have notches, so I can’t be the only one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love the app Absolutely amazing !!!

Doesn’t work

piratedessa

I have thus far been able to read a single page of a comic on this app, and even that was only briefly available. I can’t view the comics online, I can’t download them. Even the one page I was able to see is now stuck in a perpetual load, and then just a picture of Alfred saying there was a problem. I made sure to change the settings to allow the app to use cellular data, but it won’t do anything. My Marvel Unlimited app works just fine on cellular, which is irritating given I’ve always preferred DC and would really like to go through their catalog. I don’t understand the problem. DC isn’t a startup, they have the means to make a serviceable app, but even the good reviews on here are all some variation on “despite the bugs, it’s still worth it.”
