I’m 68 years old and my family have been on my case for years, to write my life story! I’ve never been able to do it, that was until I first found the “Day One” app in the App Store for my iPhone. That was when this app very first came out years ago! And with this app I’ve been able to get my life down one day at a time! Now if it could only get away to get it down for the 60+ years before the this app came out! Then it would really be a miracle app! I now have made almost 2500 entires on about 2000 days! I still haven’t gotten much done on the 60+ years before “Day One” but I can still hope that I’m still able to remember much of those 60+ years, to be able to write something down! I have a suggestion for the people at “Day One” come up with an app to help people write their lives history! I’m sure that there are many more people like me that if they had a app something that would encourage and formatting it! I really bet it would be a Home Run for them! I sure wish they would have had this app out a long time ago. This is so cool because u can capture pics, music, locations, and type as u go through out your day! It is so very cool. And for people like me that can’t remember crap, it gives me the opportunity to re live all the special moments. Thanks Dayone!
I love this app, but it has some troubles

I love this app. I have the grandfathered in option from the original Day One, but I am already thinking about getting the subscription service. I use this app not just for journaling, but also for keeping track of tasks, projects, and work, using multiple journals and tags. I am currently having a big problem some of the time when I try to start a new entry with a photo, and every time I try to upload a photo to an existing entry. The app will lag, then freeze, then crash. I can work around the issue by using he desktop app, but that defeats the purpose of it being conveniently in my phone. It is actually a massive problem for me, but even with this issue, the app is still too useful to me to remove more than one star. I have an iPhone 6 Plus with the latest iOS installed.

Key pad disappears when I type.

On my iPhone X the journal function is not working. Allows me to type one letter only. Ideas?

Easy to use, I just have to get in the habit of using it everyday! Just added a couple of pictures today. I want to go back and chronicle my move to my new house. Easy to use! Marlene

This is and always will be a great app. Due to app crash and loss of backup data, I lost everything. Not going to try again as they don’t have a way to back up data Unless you want to pay about $20 per year which is to much for me.
Must have for those who want a convenient, beautiful journaling experience!!

I never write reviews but I am for this one because I just want to say that I LOVE THIS APP!! Particularly the ability to print the books. Just got my first one in the mail and it is BEAUTIFUL (and it was effortless to make!) I loved all the details like the location and weather. I love the ability to have multiple journals! (Easily worth the $30 subscription I paid back in January) This has made journaling so much easier (a huge New Years resolution for me that has been easy to keep because I always have my phone with me) and then I can easily get a beautiful hard copy to share with friends and family. I used to do a blog to book program, but I would spend hours rearranging everything and not to mention the inconvenience that came with only journaling when logged into the blogging platform. Get the subscription, it is so worth it if you are serious about journaling properly!!
