Sync down for days

ArtemF

Day One Sync was a baffling attempt to replace elegant iCloud syncing and it backfired badly with downtime for 2 days and probably lost data. The response from the team is that all your notes are stored locally and things will re-sync even if their entire cloud sync was blown. This is true but erodes all trust in ability to host such a system and raises even basic questions about how secure and robust their backend system is. Stop trying to solve a problem that was never there and bring back iCloud sync.

Why No Video Upload ... so. So sad . :(

The Official DJ Stutter

With this day in age and everyone and their mamas, mama vblogging … I’m sad that this APP does not support video uploads like some other APP have tested. I wish and hope the creator of this APP will consider adding this option sooner than later.

I have to echo the sync problems

chellandandy

I’m having a lot of trouble getting my account to sync. It’s very frustrating. Please get this fixed soon! It makes the app much less useful if I can’t write on the fly on my phone and edit / review on my iPad, or ensure that my journals are up to date regardless of the device I’m using.

Can’t even create an account

KS2134212

Read great things about this app, most gave in rave reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Tried to create an account- good first step to save my work and ideas, but to no avail. Got internal server error for 2 days in a row, on 2 separate devices and web- have the Russians hacked this company? If the most basic task can’t be done then this app should be deleted. Plus the app keeps hitting me up for $25-$75/ subscription. I will look elsewhere

I’ve been using the app since the first version. I miss some of the free features that I never had to pay for before but I do prefer the new U/I.

Still the best app I own especially when it comes to writing/journaling.

Great app, latest update caused a problem.

*****help! Still love this app, but the search function seems to have been disabled with the May 1, 2018 update. I’ve been using it for five years and the search function is a essential…This is an app I use and enjoy every single day. Now that I've been using it for five years, I get to look at where I've been each year this past day. They keep finding ways to make it better and better, I missed entering photographs for a couple of days a month or so ago, and now, when you go to put the photos in it shows you the photographs you took that day first with the option of showing all photographs. What a great little tweak it saves a lot of time! I live a pretty interesting life, with travel to a lot of interesting places. This is a journaling program that does about everything you could ask of it. The new version has incorporated a wonderful feature showing where are you were on a map, and what you were doing this day for as far back at your journal goes. I have some photo entries of events for my grandparents, going back to the 30s!

Bring back dropbox

Viiv

This is a great app. I love using it. I was unhappy to see the dropbox sync option was removed from later versions. Anyone who takes just a moment to think about it would realize there’s just no way Day One can do cloud better than dropbox. Today is a perfect example. I’m trying to use my journal and access entries that I made on other devices and I am getting ‘Internal server error’ because the Day One cloud services are down. Please consider bringing back iCloud and Dropbox connections. So many other apps have that option. Clearly, Day One has not figured out a cloud service that beats the big players enough to warrant total exclusivity.

Love it, but...

OhWejo

Sync issue with IFTTT for days now which is actually preventing me from journaling--the very intention of this app.

Love the idea hate the performance

Peckerhead41

It takes about 5 minutes before I can get the app opened so I can use it. I try to open it and it crashes many times before it stays open and becomes operational to actually use. If I didn’t mind it taking 5 minutes to open, it would be great. ... or maybe NOT.
