The real deal! And better

Mattpizza

All the same but with smooth graphics and the option of creator commentary. The moment I downloaded this I couldn't put it down. Totally worth it! Made me so happy. Can we get a iPhone X version? Thanks!

Amazing reproduction!

Seeing this game come to life again was a dream come true. The attention to detail and ability to play the old format if desired make this a must have. I sure hope they release Sam n Max Hit The Road remastered someday soon.

No IPhone X support

A good game, but the last update was over 9 months ago. It would be an easy change to fit the X screen, it’s a shame there hasn’t been anyone checking in on the app and making sure it’s up to date.

A Classic, Reborn

This game transformed my adolescent mind when it first arrived, and it’s a pleasure to report that the remaster retains all of its greatness (and that my mind remains properly warped). Fun, funny, clever, and bizarre, all the ridiculous twists have aged perfectly (like so many errant cheeses and WINES), and are married beautifully to a gorgeous graphical update. An update that, should you have the urge to wallow in your own pixelated retro-pool, you can readily switch off and bask in the glory of it’s classic look - bit tunes and all. It’s a pleasure to witness the ingenuity of the original side-by-side with the beauty of the remaster. The only caution I’d lend is that this is a classic point-n-click adventure game in the truest sense. If you haven’t been down this alley before (or if you have!) some of the puzzles are ridiculous and head-scratching, but if you go in expecting that madness to unfurl and ready to embrace it, you’ll be deeply pleased. Double Fine, thank you for so many truly wonderful games.

Classic adventure time

Awesomized for iPhone and iPad. This and Monkey Island are better than any of the newer pretenders.

More Lucas art titles please!!!!!!

I have been wanting this release & other classic titles from Lucas arts for quite some time! I love this game!! Keep up the good work!

Amazing!!

Bought this a few days ago on a whim with no reviews. I was nervous it was going to be an awful port that was unplayable. Boy, was I wrong. It's as flawless as the original and the remastered graphic are amazing. From the same team as Grim Fandango, I can only hope they remake Sam & Max or another great Lucas Arts title text.

Excellent!

The only bug is as follows: when Hoagie receives a particular document from the present, it doesn't show the jon as backed up. Oh,and if you do the tooth puzzle before chopping down the tree, the cut sequence doesn't show the teeth chattering as they should have been. There. Minor, you say? Extremely minor. The only reason I mention these ridiculously minor bugs is to show you how much I know this game. I played it through twice, the second time with commentary on. Yes, it's worth it doing that too. This is one of the best adventure games in the history of gaming. The remastered edition makes the graphics perfect for today. I kept thinking how the little mannerisms of the characters, the voice acting (superb) and the amazing story, how they all tied up to make you laugh and enjoy yourself for hours. Try not to cheat, and the enjoyment will be ten times as much, trust me. This is my second Lucasarts game after Grim Fandango, and I cannot wait to see what else they have on the iPad. Worth every penny ten times the amount. If you like adventure games even remotely... Do not miss this game!

Unplayable. Terrible choice of controls. Why do you force me to skip cutscenes?

iphone_wifi

The action control to select verbs also skips all animations and cutscenes. Uhhhh I kinda wanna see the story and understand what's going on. Please fix this doublefine! I'm sure this game actually deserves a 5 star rating. Thanks for doing the remaster devs! It's one of my favorites and loved it back in the day. Looking forward to being able to play this and revising my score back up to 5 stars.
