Unusable as an alarm—requires you keep you phone unlocked and open to the app to hear any noise.

I wanted to love this. I selected three birds to be included in the wake up sound. I expected to be gently awoken by bird song. Instead - it was a blare and woke me with a start. A siren would have been less jarring. The noise scared my cat - get this - bird song so alarming it frightened a cat. Good points - 20 bird sounds to choose from Can include 1 to 5 birds in the alarm Can set by day of week Can set multiple alarms with different bird selections

The time was three minutes past my alarm before I realized it was going off, and I only heard it vibrating before birdsong at that. I don’t know if I did something wrong or if this is how it tends to function. I expect more noise of my alarms at the times I set them though.

I don’t understand why this app isn’t rated 5 stars by everyone. For me, this product brings substantial joy to my every day. I live a complicated life. I am the founder of a startup. I’ve had cancer multiple times. Sleep is elusive. On nights when I’ve had too little, at least I get to wake up to the semblance of nature. And I learn about our feathered brethren among the way. I really want to thank the developers of this app, the artists involved, and the Carnegie Museum for funding it. You did a great job and should be proud of your work. Well done.

I would give this app five stars, because I love to wake up to the sound of the birds, but it has stopped working. I am using it on an iPhone 6. I will look for the next update.

Love it - but needs some work

I really love the idea of this app. I normally wake up early and live in a rural area - so when we sleep with the windows open we do hear the birds (usually robins). This app would be five stars if I could set it for certain days and not have to turn it on everyday. Due to that I don’t feel that it’s very reliable so I only use it on the weekends when I don’t really need an alarm. Please include these features and it will replace my alarm!

It didn’t work on my iPhone 6 and now it doesn’t work on my iPhone XR. Lovely sounds while you’re setting up, but no sound at all when the “alarm” goes off, just lots of banners saying it’s on. Not the point. Can’t recommend.
