Has potential but needs revision

The bird sounds are wonderful. The big downfall is it not working in lock mode. No one wants to sleep with their phone lighting up the room. Not sure if it has to do with lock screen, but when I have tried using the alarm I get only one bird at a time, not a chorus.

Beautiful idea, just doesn’t work.

A+ for the concept: I love birds and the idea behind the “growing chorus” in this app. F for execution: I’ve triple-checked all options on my iPhone X, and the app remains muted (and screen locked/black) when it’s supposed to be alarming. This doesn’t happen with other alarm apps I’ve tested to include the native clock app, (even when I’m wearing my Apple Watch.) It’s scary to have an alarm app that doesn’t reliably function. Great concept though! To the developer: if you are going to fix this app, please add a “fade-in” option and ensure the alarm repeats until stopped. Such a useful feature for alarm apps!

Nice alarm

This is a great alarm for the winter and off-season when the real birds aren’t singing in the morning. Works well on my phone except when I close out the app completely, then the alarm turns off. It would be nice if the alarm was still set (like the Clock app) when the app is completely shut down. Drives my cats batty when it goes off, lol.

Stream-lined and quality

Monkeysgirl25

Awesome sounds, easy to use, and VERY uncluttered... You also get a little list of bird icons incorporated into your iMessaging... They NEED to get more of the icons with more quotes because I haven’t stopped getting compliments about the little bird mojis i pit into my texts!

Good concept, bad delivery

It is a great idea for a pleasant and soothing wake up alarm, but a dawn chorus it isn’t. Rather than listening to a morning chorus of local birds, you’re required to select five birds (out of ten) that play sequentially as part of the alarm. Once a bird sings a couple stanzas, the next bird sings until you’ve heard all five. Sorta OK, but then what really wakes you is the notifications you start to receive stating the first bird is wondering whether you are awake (what?) ... and then a notification from the next bird, and so on until there are 14 notifications on your phone. Really not OK. The is no snooze feature ... don’t really need one since the birds all play and are then done. The app requires the phone to be plugged into power (dumb), requires your notifications are turned on (I don’t want notifications from my alarm), and the do not disturb feature is disabled (not really OK). I deleted the app since it was a bit too invasive and clunky and will try it again after it is more user friendly.

Clock is wack

GatorInTheATL

Great idea, however I am not able to se a proper alarm because my clock has only two numbers showing. 1-9 on the hour side with the next three being displayed by a 1 not 10,11 & 12. The minute side will have the 10’s displayed as six 0s, 1s, 2s, 3s...., but no minutes. I was really looking forward to using this, please fix.

Great app

Please allow option to turn off vibration in alarm!

I love this app!!!

I thought it stopped working, it wasn’t sounding off with the screen off. Here the Do Not Disturb setting was somehow turned on. I use the app to learn bird songs too, like when I’m out in the back yard and here a bird. The other month I was at Hawk Mountain and thought I heard an Ovenbird. Used the app to verify!

Doesn’t work

Kc1985ks

Cool idea, but the app simply doesn’t work as an alarm due to limited functionality. I’m not going to follow a checklist of instructions every time I want to use an alarm. I want to set and forget, which is not available in this app.

Nice...but

Strotium90

Could you all upgrade this excellent concept for an alarm clock.
