D.M. Thin Ice - on thin ice with me too

I usually adore the Danse Macabre series, and while this one was well drawn and well done, it was incredibly short! I finished the whole thing bonus game and all in a few hours. I kept waiting for the rest of the game to show up. What was there was gorgeous and had a wonderful twisty plot but it left me feeling cheated by the lack of length. Get it on sale but not worth full price.

Excellent

Enjoyable Danse Series Game

Only 4 stars because the Hint and Skip buttons are not customizable. The refresh rate is 60 seconds. Very creative HOPs games, beautiful graphics, interactive Hint buttons. I will definitely purchase the next Danse game!

One of my series.

Not my favorite but I love collectibles, souvenirs and morphing objects! This has a lot.

LynxMinx: Thank you for your kind words from the other review. I played Lost Lands 2 some time ago when it came out and loved it. However, I forgot to leave a review for it. The third one is just as good. Don't bother with the first one because it is an energy based game, unless you like that type. Do play 2 and 3. Have fun, and I hope you are feeling better. First of all, I mentioned in my last review that FIVE-BN UK LTD has a new one out entitled, "Lost Lands 3: The Golden Curse." I just submitted my review, and I wanted to let you all know it came out. You are a detective who is asked by choreographer, Christopher Chardy, to survey the area before his dance company's opening night performance in search of a stalker who is following his lead dancer, Ruth Fisher. But then this "stalker" tells you that Ruth is in danger and drops dead. Sounds "Fishy"? The graphics contain bright and vibrant colors using many shades of blue, pink, and purple; they have a muddy, washed out appearance though. There are no customizable settings! What??? I have tapping penalties and some glints in the second mode; this is unacceptable at this juncture whereas other developers are transcending the boundaries of creativity and implementing desired functionalities to meet players' needs. The teleport map does not even indicate objectives, let alone tasks, as well in Challenge mode. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. Transition between scenes is fairly quick and smooth. You have a suspect board that holds photos and info on the characters you interact with; you also read acquired messages. The HOS steal the show here and are the only saviors. They are varied, fun, and creative. Some are sequential. One type is to first find items by their silhouette shapes; then another type follows where you find the resulting object of related pairs; then you end the sequence with a riddle. You also play interactive word lists and my favorite, a type of "find and use." The puzzles are varied but very simple; one type is to fit circuit chips on a board, by placing and rotating, to conduct energy through the unit. You collect globes in the locations; they are easy to spot. You also find morphing objects in the HOS. The extras include collectibles, souvenir room, and match 3. I gave this game three stars because of the following reasons: 1. Unsatisfactory graphics. 2. No custom settings. 3. Even though it was not needed, no help from the map. 4. Fast moving, linear gameplay with not much to do in each location; it translates to short play time. 5. Puzzles are way too simple and require little or no thought. 6. Missing reading materials. I'm playing this because I always loved this series, but now the days are outnumbered. I can't exactly say it's worth your dough.

Outstanding!

Good Game

Ripe Safer

It is a good game but sometimes it is too small to get a reaction and you have to touch it several times.

Note to KimTwilight, loved the 2nd Lost Lands, and funny enough I didn't play the first because I hate energy dependent games. I plan on playing the 3rd one too. You know there is a 3rd New York Mysteries but it's not available in the US yet. I am worried about this game because you only gave it 3 stars. But I am gaming as much as I can to keep my mind off things. Thank you for inquiring about my health. I have a ways to go and eventually I will need surgery but not at that point yet. You have been more supportive than my selfish family, so your words have meant so much to me! The Dream Team Elite is a family of sorts, so let's not allow BigFish to give us sub-par games! I will get back to you with my review after I play this game. On to the game. Interesting story, gorgeous and colorful cut-scenes, lots of locations. There are 3 levels of difficulty. You collect a snow globe in each one. Morphing objects are only in the HO scenes, which are varied, or you can choose to play match-3 instead. Inventory is labeled and there are plus items to assemble. Loading is instantaneous between locations and there is a marked teleport map to get you there. You did not have to exit the game because there was a map tab, and instead of a journal there was an evidence board to keep track of the story, characters and objectives. I liked the mini-games and puzzles in this game better than the last few games by EIPIX because they were interesting and not all were BRC (boring rotational crap, lol!) This game played smoothly and I didn't encounter any glitches. There were no RATS to torture me, and the only reason I deducted a star was for length. This was a short game even with bonus chapter. Lynxie sends lots of ?❤️? to the fabulous Dream Team Elite, who make the gaming world a better place!
