Good game

Mid length. Only problem was that I couldn't get the "watch the credits all the way through" badge.

I don't usually write reviews unless I really like a game. Excellent game for me. Everyone has their opinion but loved this game!

Details are overlooked

froggerblogger

Somebody in production forgot to check the details before releasing this one. The verbal prompt in the game said I was looking for rose jewelry and clicked on a rose comb in desperation-sure enough that was the "jewelry I was looking for. There were spots in the game that I had already moved an object from the scene, but saw that same object still in the frame later. Can't remember all of the details, but looks like people just got really hurried, especially at the end, and did not pay attention to details. There were some lack luster artwork that looked like finishing details never happened. It just looked like it was not even the same style of artwork that was throughout the the rest of the game. Maybe production money and hours were saved, but it really shows! The gameplay itself was fun. Some of the music I really wanted to change, but options did not give me the control to change the music.

Thin Ice is a bit blah. What a letdown.

I love this series, so was really looking forward to another Danse Macabre. And boy howdy, what a letdown. This game was simple, puerile and just as meh as meh can be. I was actually hoping to see Tanya Harding show up in the game just to liven it up! Fundamentals were good enough, but the storyline was inane and the logic (what to do next without a hint) was missing. Too much going back and forth between scenes, and while there's a teleporting map, it still gets tiring racing to and fro. And it felt like it was a gimmick to just make this game longer. While it wasn't all that long play, it was boring...so there's that, I guess...the whole meh-ness made it feel long! Recommendation: Unless you get this for free, or maybe a buck, I would skate on past this misstep in the series. Sending good wishes to all the reviewers out there...hoping everyone is well. xo

So boring!

I usually like the games in this series. This one is so blah. I've been trying to play it since it came out and just can't. I continue to load new games or reload old games before coming back to this. It has incorrect names on the HOG's. It will name an object, but the object is actually something else. (Necklace is actually a comb) I could overlook that if the game was fun, it's not. Just boring, almost awful!

A pretty game with decent puzzles

duidance

Okay, so the story is a soap opera for teens and bored adults, but the hidden object games and puzzles are fun. Most puzzles are just right for young kids aged 9... no surprise there. No challenge for older players. The graphics are lovely, though. A game like this will keep me leisurely occupied for a couple of hours each night. Near the end, I was eager to just put the finale on such a tortured plot. On the upside, this was more Perry Mason than anything. Glad not to have to deal with dark magic for a change. If I even detect that stuff in a title, cover picture, description, or a review, I move on to find something with some daylight. I would give this game 4 stars for the first half, then 3.5 stars from midway through the bonus chapter. The souvenirs were a nice touch.
