Entertaining but flawed arcade platformer

The title of this review should be: I hope you enjoy getting stun-locked into oblivion. This game has been entertaining for the first few hours but the flaws have started to wear on me as I continue to play. First— easy-mode is trivially easy at most points and hard-mode is unforgiving and brutal with nothing in between. Second— The game lacks movement and fighting options that continue to make the game fun after you finish upgrading a character. Any move which is flashy and fun is too risky or unwieldy to use for any more than one enemy which means most of the time your most effective strategy for playing is walking up to people and pressing the punch button until they die. If the charged attack had like 30% more range this wouldn’t be a problem. There are no good options for dealing with flying enemy’s. Press the jump button over and over again and hope they don’t decide to attack you. Third— You can actually get stun-locked for your entire health bar. If you get caught between two enemies they can just wack you one after another while your stunned with nothing you can do about it. Like, I’m all for a challenge but if I wanted to hate my life I would play dark souls. If you want to make your game challenging taking control away from the player is the least fun way to do it. Do something else next time please. Yes I recognize someone could respond to most of these issues with: “Git gud scrub” but games can be challenging and fun at the same time without being frustrating.

Everything is good it has violence and it is a retro game awesome. I would totally recommend this to a friend it’s everything that we ever needed in our childhood. thanks for making the game and my childhood memories awesome

I really like it a lot is super fun and those people that like action and stuff like that. But really good doe in my opinion, not only that but Barry is overpowered after I bought him I always use him, but other than that great game
