Not. Free.

I have no problem with having to pay for apps. But don’t say it’s free when as soon as you download it you have to start a membership. That isn’t free. Months after posting my review the developers responded with an extremely passive aggressive response.

videos will not generate...

coconutbutternut

I have paid for the app & everything & I love being able to document my days, but the app will not generate videos for me. all I want is to create a video of the snaps from one month & when I tap generate, nothing happens. I also wish there was a way to add music over videos (if I could create a video...).

as many snaps as possible

I understand, but

I understand the need for paying server costs and overhead costs, just to let you know, I can pay the same thing and have access to much higher end products such as Adobe restive Cloud and others. I have to agree with one of the previous reviews. Now, so many devs are jumping on this new high priced subscription trend. Apple needs to creat a new category. Free, Paid, Subscription and any subscription app, whether it has a free trial or not, can’t be listed under the “free” category. It should only be listed under “subscription” and/or “paid”category. I can’t really rate this for how well it works since I don’t want to even bother with the trial. We never know what kind of problems will get by opening a trial. Many of us have been “trapped” before and don’t want to deal with the possible headaches if things aren’t on the up and we end up being automatically put on the subscription. I’m not saying that this dev and this app are like that, but because of getting burned before, we don’t want to take the chance. Response to dev 2019-06-05 $10 a month to capture a second. I would change it to a one time payment instead of a subscription. I can get Dayli for free and almost do the same thing. It captures a picture instead of a second, but it puts it all together into a video automatically. To be successful, you have to think, “can I really get X amount of users for $10 a month or $40 a year when there are other apps for free that are good quality?” You have a better chance at making more sales with a one time purchase. In your case, if it were me, I would offer the same thing as Dayli for free and then make an in-app purchase to change it to capture a second each time. This way, more people will use it and there is more potential to get people to choose the in-app purchase to upgrade it. Once they see how well it works, with the free snapshot then they will get more curious about the “capture a second”. When we hear “subscription” it turns off that curiosity. Curiosity is what makes sales. You then have to analyze your competition to see how much you can charge. Charging such a high amount makes me think you are just going for the quick sale and then be gone soon. Just giving advice. Myself, I’ve decided to stick to Dayli. If you had followed the structure I mentioned, there is a better chance that I would have chosen your app. Right now, looking at the pricing structure, I think I’ll stay with Dayli. I’ll check back every now and then to see if the structure has changed. If so, I might try, but as of now, i don’t see the need to even try the free version. I’m not trying to be mean or anything. Just trying to give you an idea from a consumer’s point of view. If I was rich and could just throw away money, sure, why not? But how many of us have the ability to throw away money? I hope this helps. Take care. I will come back every so often to check.

Bamboozled

I downloaded the app cause a coworker recommended it to me- they use the pro version. It looked like fun so I downloaded it, however as soon as I opened the app- even before making an account- I was asked if I wanted to purchase the annual pro. Being an amateur I clicked the home button and touch ID confirmed my purchase. I canceled my subscription in the app store but I was billed anyways. I was considering the pro, but I’d rather at least get a chance to test the demo first. Also the app has crashed multiple times when I’ve tried to open it so at this point I’m very frustrated :/

Great support team

rm.2019

I used to used this app in 2017 when it was free, and redownloaded the app recently to discover it was no longer free. However I still had content in the app and the support team was so helpful in letting me access my previous content. The app makes it very easy to compile quick snippets of your daily life which makes for a great video journal t look back at memories! For those who are unsure about the price you can try it out as a free trial if you’re interested, email the support team so they can help you out!

Want my clips!?

Romi C

I had a subscription for a year and apparently today was the last day. I am not able to generate or download my video because everything is locked now unless I pay again. I had the subscription for those clips and would like to get them without me having to pay again. How do I download them?
