Extremely confusing UI

Twirling fern

Gameplay is pretty good. This has got to be the most confusing UI for any game I’ve ever played, and I’ve played hundreds maybe thousands of games.

THE SONGS ARE SO COOL

The Cytus II ivy song is Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good in my opinion. It’s so good because I do a lot of stuff with my computer. And it helps so much. GET THIS APP IF YOU LIKE MUSIC AND TAPPING THE SCREEN.

tl;dr It’s insanely good and you’re here looking for a rhythm game - you should play it!! The amount of DLC and the UI for the plot stuff are a little annoying though. Unnecessary levels of detail below. I hardly ever review games, but this one is worth it. I got the game for free during an event, and boy am I glad I jumped on it. This is a really fun game. The easiest difficulties are a great introduction if you’ve never played a rhythm game before, while the hardest are super technical. There’s also quite a range of song selections, and there is a very in-depth and pretty interesting storyline. I only have a few minor complaints. The first is that there is an awful lot of DLC, including a lot of story behind paywalls. All told, there are currently 10 DLC characters (plus Miku who you can no longer purchase) for $10 a pop, plus 15 song packs for $5, then $10 to unlock the store system. ~$1 per song isn’t awful considering it’s about the price of buying music on iTunes, plus the fact that you get about 100 songs with the base game and they’re always adding more, but I can see that making it a bad fit if you don’t think you can resist completionism. Also, the pause button is super tiny, but I guess that’s better than it being too big. Finally, the way the plot is split up between different characters and iM, plus the huge number of files/chapters, makes it extremely difficult to review the story if you get lost. Overall though I have gotten hundreds of hours of great entertainment for free, so I can’t complain too much. And, I seriously cannot fault the most important part, the core rhythm game - very fun, no input issues, very little lag even on my old af iphone 5SE, some really awesome maps for players at any level, very good music. The majority of maps can be played with just thumbs if that’s your style. Adjustable timing and note sizes, toggleable tap sound and note grouping. The UI is gorgeous and you get 3 difficulties for each song. Scoring is pretty much identical to Cytus afaik, max and regular perfects count the same towards the score but regular perfect dings you on technical points (TP... lol). It is imo SEVERAL times harder to get 100% TP than a perfect score, meaning us normies get to look at some nice 1 millions while those of you who are insanely good still get another layer of challenge. If you like Voez I think this is a pretty sure bet. There’s a reason this is on every top mobile rhythm games list from the last couple of years!!

Brilliant game

Littlewizmeister

Just absolutely floored. I got hooked right from the beginning and was still playing it for hours months later. The gameplay is amazing. The music is amazing. And the story is WILD ride. Truly, this game sets the standard of what mobile games can (and should) be. Brilliant game and the community for it is even better, well done Rayark!

doesn't work on iOS

collie pollie

i missed playing cytus 2 on my old phone, so i decided to get it on my iOS ipad. i was really eager only to find out that i couldn't get past the intro screen + tutorial without it crashing. i don't know if it's just me, or if it's actually a bug; but if there's a way to fix it, do tell me.

Outstanding Game

Prwciousgrl

I absolutely love this game. Every song's chart feels clean and fun to play on any difficulty, and the story really pulls you in and makes you want to see what happens. Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys rhythm games of any kind, worth every penny.

Fantastic game for hardcore rhythm game fans

That guy!!

This game has hooked me like no other rhythm game on iOS has. That includes Cytus 1. There’s a great soundtrack, the gameplay is challenging, the presentation is nice, there’s an interesting storyline built-in... all of these come together to make a really great package. While anyone can have fun with the game, make no mistake — this game is made for hardcore rhythm game fans. If you’re looking for a challenge, you can absolutely find it. If you commute a lot by train, try this out. The time just melts away.

Best IOS game ever!!
