Apple Watch app is buggy as a rotten log

Edodesu

Been using for 5 years (and paying for it). All I want the AW to do is capture heart rate. It will crash like the Hindenburg 100% of the time. Forget tech support. Had two cases in the time I’ve been using. Each time they start out with ‘your the only one that has this problem’. Followed by ‘your using it wrong’. Better-off with the native ‘workout’ app

App problem!

won't use this again

Well using this app there was a constant pop-up ad to check elite cyclemeter. After reviewing the elite page The app is now stuck on the elite page and can not use it unless I pay! Now the app is useless, a scam!

Well, I’m Not So Sure...

Ok, the app in general is great, with detailed information about your workout. But for some reason it do not transfer the info to Apple Health or Apple Workouts. And yes, I granted permissions, and yes, I also have the Premium version of Cyclemeter...

Still my go to App

Dvrideguy

I’ve been using this app for years and it’s still the one I choose after trying others. Would love an enhancement to be able to sort routes by miles from the stopwatch view to make last minute decisions easier. Thanks. !!

Complete Apple Watch support not available

Rocket2Me

I have a Gen 4 Apple Watch with GPS & cellular. Although Abvio advertises support for Apple Watch, it will NOT work to track your route if you leave your iPhone at home. I do more running than cycling, and it’s really a pain in the summer to have to carry my iPhone in my running shorts pocket or in an armband. Keep in mind that I have a watch that is in many respects a miniature iPhone (with GPS, bluetooth, and cellular capabilities). I emailed a Abvio support about the issue, and I was told that it wan’t a priority for their developers at this time to make a cellular Apple Watch work standalone with Cyclemeter.

Fantastic App.

Superb app. No other cycling app comes even close in terms of the data presentation and user customization. Things I love about it: . Super Accurate. . Very reliable. 4000+ miles with the app and no random recording stoppages to date. Zilch. . Extremely customizable screen layout. Like literally “extremely”. You can see as much or as little data as you want. I’ve not needed my $200 Garmin since. . GPX/TCX route import support (For those weekend charity rides) . Fantastic Apple Watch support. Surprisingly, comes with even more customizability. . Works great with my Speed+Cadence sensor. . One click Strava activity sharing from within the app. New features that would make this app even better: . Needs a “Dark mode” theme. Since the app keeps my screen ON throughout my ride, the App can potentially save significant battery life on iPhoneX (aka AMOLED phones) with a Dark theme. . Needs TrainingPeaks support. Since Strava support already exists, this shouldn’t be too hard.

App is ok, expensive

StylesC45

That app itself is ok, I like all the options and charts but it might be a little advanced for your average cyclist. $10 a year is too expensive for me to continue to use the app, I love in Michigan so I can only cycle a few months a year..I realize this won’t affect everyone but for me $10 is too expensive for just a few months of use when there are other options for free that have the same features. I’d gladly pay a one time fee of $10 to buy the app.

Simply Great!!!

Have been using this app for 4 years now and very pleased. Simple to use, gives me the data I need and keeps me on track for my personal goals. It just works really well and never had a single issue with it.

Great workout app

Mattelfesso

I’ve used cyclemeter for 5 years and it keeps getting better. I use it mostly for cycling, but it allows you to choose other activities such as running or hiking, so I have no need for other workout apps. I briefly used a Wahoo heart rate monitor with it, but wearing a chest strap was annoying. Now with an Apple watch, it is easy to control without reaching in my pocket for my phone, and it does a great job of recording my heart rate from the watch. It does not have social media functions, but will post to Strava if you want. (Overall, it’s a much more useful app than Strava). It will also post my workout results to my iCal, email or facebook. There are links to their website which integrates the route map with plots of speed, heart rate, and altitude, gives splits, etc. Overall the data is well presented, and it’s hard to imagine what else one might want.

Apple Watch series 3 flaw

Really-disappointed-54

Does not work with series 3 Apple Watch as a stand alone watch app. You still must carry your phone with you. Description is ambiguous on Apple Watch functionality, and you must buy the app to test the functionality. Total waste of money, if you want to leave your phone at home and only use your series 3 watch.
