Tried Several VPN - CyberGhost took it

I tried Surfshark, ExpressVPN, PrivateVPN, etc, all had strengths, here is how I prioritized : 1) WILL IT Connect in places that I usually go 2)Does customer service respond to questions 3) is it US based or protected by oversea turn-over fishing laws 4) Modern encryption 5) Price I was down to ExpressVPN, but they are much more expensive if you have a family of 3 to use because of limited devices. Surfshark was great price and features, but wouldn't connect to a couple of important locations. Cyberghost had a couple of issues, but their service responded immediately :)

I was using Express VPN in the past year & it worked fabulously until right before renewal date. I gave up trying to correct & located CyberGhost, which is a 3rd of the price of one year for Express & the CyberGhost price is a 3 year plan. Works like a charm & saved me a load of money! Very happy & satisfied customer.

I paid for the three year access plan. $99 for three years sounds like a great deal, doesn’t it? Please, don’t waste your money. The first year was alright. Quite often we’d have to change cities because the streaming platform I was using at the time “caught on” to us using a vpn. Then right around the holidays and the one-year anniversary of our purchase of cyber ghost, it became nearly impossible to use. After waiting to see if perhaps it had something to do with the holidays, I decided to use the live chat to see what we could do. My chat expert was zero help. After asking me all the questions I suppose they are required (did you do this? -yes. Did you do that? -yes. How about A, B, or C? Yes. Yes. Yes.) I was then asked to take a picture of my tv screen showing the failure to launch message AND that I was logged in to cyberghost optimized for the particular streaming network. I don’t know about other TVs, but ours doesn’t show on the screen that the vpn is connected while I’m on something like Netflix or Hulu. At that point it seemed obvious that I was going to get nowhere with this kid (because it started to feel like I was chatting with a know-it-all teenager) so I disconnected from chat and purchased a different vpn service and this new service is already a thousand times better! The cost is a bit higher but we got less than a third of what cyber ghost promised. My suggestion is to talk to people you know who use a vpn service. That’s we we ended up doing and we have found one that we are very pleased with. I won’t mention the name but, IT ISN’T WEAK.

This product does not work if you are trying to use your US subscriptions while overseas. I was either zero days late or one day after the 45 day trial period, and customer service refused a refund and offered no assistance. Very disappointed and I feel scammed. I hear Express VPN works great, so I will try that.

After doing a good bit of research looking for the “best rated” VPN available, CyberGhost VPN, was always in the Top 3, on multiple lists... I did some reading and watched many reviews, I decided to purchase. I found a deal for a 3-year subscription, so I went for it. After a few days, I’m suffering buyers remorse! Crashes, errors, terrible connectivity, extremely slow speeds (ever after trying many different servers), locked up my PC several times (newer AMD processor, 32 gb RAM, and 550 Tomahawk MB and 2 TB SSD)... I’m honestly not trying to completely bash this company and their app. I do like how easy it is to use and the design of the app and the program on the PC. I wanted to bring these items to the attention of the community, along with the company and their designers for improvement recommendations... There are so many VPN’s out there, and in especially in today culture climate ie. “Cancel Culture”, you definitely need to have a VPN. Please be diligent in your research...
