Cutthroat Pinochle Gold

Cutthroat Pinochle is played with a special 48-card deck of 9s, 10s, jacks, queens, kings and aces. The game consists of a repeating sequence of bidding (for the right to take the optional kitty and name trump), melding, and trick-taking. Players score points by melding various card combinations and by taking tricks. Adjust the rules to play the game you're familiar with. This version has no advertising.

Many good points but...

This app is very well designed with good graphics and good bidding by the computer players. Where it falls short is you cannot set minimum point card totals in order to save your meld or to make your bid. The result is the game often comes down to how much meld a player has. The play of the cards frequently has little effect on the game. Overall though, with the exception of the above, the game designers did an excellent job.

I have been waiting for a 3 handed pinochle app for years! The layout is nice, the rules are fully customizable, the graphics are decent, and the computer opponents seem to play a pretty decent game.

What is with the nickname

I have been waiting for double-deck version for quite awhile and this is really good. Only one major need is the option to require tricks be required to save meld. Current option is 0 or 1. We have always played, winning bidder must take 20 and other two players must take 15. 5-card widow can prompt a lot of very risky bidding. A 2-card widow restrains that a bit. I have played both ways, so an option would be nice. Thanks to developer for great improvements. Without a doubt, this is the best Pinochle version on the market.
