Useful but flawed

I can use this as a beginner and get learning fast. That's a good thing Interface is clumsy and not polished. Usually takes several attempts to load. No sound so no good guide to pronunciation.
Don't buy this app.

Crashed after stuck clicking on the "radicals" test. Stuck on this page that says "Server Error"
Good app - minor problem with IOS 6/iPhone 5

The app works well and is great for beginners who need a review. It has a minor bug with the iPhone 5 and iOS 6. When I transferred my apps from my iPhone 4 to my iPhone 5, the app stopped working. To fix, delete the app on the phone, sync, and then use iTunes to reinstall the app and everything will work perfectly.
Best flash card app

Clavis Sinica has the best language learning software available and their flash card app is a worthy part of their lineup. The test function allows you to see related words and is an excellent way to build vocabulary as well as improve understanding of the language. Highly recommended.
A must have for students of Chinese language

I wish I had known about this app, as well as the desktop Chinese reading software also put out by Clavis Sinica. With this app you will have the tool you need to get the first 1600 character meanings and pronunciation under your belt. Learning the meanings of individual characters is a great help in acquiring new vocabulary later on. This company is a real class act. Highly recommend this app.
