5K in Your Area

Jillannbaty

I set for 5K runs within 25 miles of KY and runs and tennis tournaments were displayed in TX and around the country.

Wish it worked with Fitbit app!

I love it, but it doesn’t connect with Fitbit or MyFitnessPal.

Battery

This kills my battery on my iPhone. I even turned off background app refresh for it and limited it from accessing data and GPS... I only use it as a timer on my treadmill. Still like 24 hours in background. I really don’t understand. A shame I like the functionality.

Helped me get off the couch

Love this app and it is a big reason I am active again. I am about 4 weeks into the program and I love all of the features in this app. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is that at this time there is not a way to shuffle the music playing during a run. Would love to see that featured added in a future update. Thanks for a great app!

Great App to Get You Going!!

BrooklynMAD

I would give this app 5 stars, but the Community uploads never connect to their server. Otherwise, it’s a great app for getting “couch potatoes” up and moving. Don’t be afraid of this app. It gets you up and moving slowly, with mostly walking to build lung capacity. I’ve lost well over 100# by stopping Coca-Cola and using this app!!

Uber annoying “motivational” features

SamSBD

I used this app a couple of years ago and got to a 5 k pretty quickly. There was no way to turn off the “trainers” but they were fairly unobtrusive. There were a couple of other interface annoyances but I could see past them. Now, there’s no way ignore the trainers since they’re so chatty. The generic encouragement interrupts my books/music and my flow. I paid for this app and now it is difficult to use. There should be a minimal trainer that just announces the segments.

Not as good as it used to be

I downloaded the app a few years ago and LOVED it. This latest version though is left wanting. First off, I had to purchase it again because it didn’t remember that I had already bought the app. Then it has been pretty glitchy. This morning it skipped a full walking section and went from run to run. The other day it froze on the warm up and wouldn’t go into a run. Also, the audio cues are difficult to hear with my music playing so I have to listen really closely to know what I need to do. I turned on the vibrate to see if that would help and it barely made a difference. I used to be able to look at what the intervals were so I could mentally prepare myself for the run and now I can’t. I have to keep hitting “skip” then redo the exercise just to see what is expected of me that day. I am not impressed with the app and it has been sooooo frustrating to us. I go jogging for my mental health and it doesn’t help that this app gets me all wound up because it’s not operating as it should. Finally, skipping tracks when the exercise starts and shutting of my music after cool down is super annoying. I get my music ready before I go and like to listen to my music after I stretch and it shuts my music off or skips tracks.

Apple Watch app almost pointless

If you were planning on going for a run with out your phone with this app forget about it, your phone does everything and the Apple Watch app is just there to interact with the phone app.

Motivating app with glitches

debraran

I tried a few running apps and liked this one the most but lately it will skip when I’m doing the workout. For instance I’ll be 2 minutes into an 8 min run and the voice will say “walk” I can go back but have to start over that section. It happens much less if I don’t use music. I wish I knew why because it is very motivating and it got me to week 5 .

You CAN Do it!

Just ran 3 1/2 miles this morning...Feels amazing & replaces the frustration I felt from running on Day 1. Wouldn’t have gotten to this point without the Couch to 5K app. Im not exactly patient, but this app’s running program framework will get you there & you will feel progress & excitement all along the way...
