An amazing game, truly but....

Update we want

...it needs a lot of bug fixes. And just a request a few or a lot of huge content updates, and maybe some real dlc none of that gem or coin nonsense.

Don't listen to bad reviews if you have a 6 or 6S

EyeOfTheRaven

Plays great. Awesome frame rate. Nice graphics and complex trading system. Works amazing on my 6S Plus. Must buy. Bad reviews must have older phones.

Works just fine with the updated graphics

Kichuka

Looks pretty close to the Steam version, no fps drop, no more ugly ps2 graphics, runs smooth so far. I like the game, reminds me of Startopia in some ways. I use an iPhone 6+.

Bugs :(

The UI will just disappear - entire buttons or menus will just go away and there is no way to get them back other than reloading. Due to the way save game works, this can cost you a lot of time. Like so many others I was SO wanting this to be good. Looking online for solutions, it appears they devs have abandoned the game with many bugs left and gameplay issues. Save your money.

Literally the buggiest game I've ever played

This game is fun. It's lots of fun. And funny. And has great graphics. Now if only I could actually play it for longer than 5 minutes without getting an unhandled exception, or the controls disappearing, or a series of 3-minute lags in control response... (on an iPhone 6 Plus, so plenty or RAM, CPU, and graphics horsepower) Easily a 4- or 5-star game otherwise.

Too small on iPhone 5s - Annoyingly buggy.

This app runs ok on my iPhone 5s but all the text in game renders much too small for my old eyes to easily read. I gave up after about half an hour. I tried again on my iPad Air where things seemed better, at least I could read the game text. However, after about 2-3 hours of game play, I started seeing multiple "Segmentation Fault" crashes, crashes on game reload and bugged gameplay (cargo storage that reports 1/3 full despite not having any cargo aboard, missions that don't pay off despite meeting their requirements...). For an open world game with a huge galaxy to explore, having it corrupt its player data while I was still exploring the first 2/3 of the very first star system was pretty frustrating. I think the only way forward would be to start all over again, and whatever bug felled my game the first time, would still be lying in wait. The game world looks interesting and the ship, crew and trade management aspects seem pretty well realized and fun, but if you can't reliably play it without corrupting your game state, then you basically can't play it at all. Summary: Disappointing as is, but shows promise if Chasing Carrots can clean up the bugs.

Constantly crashes

Pokey Oats

This game constantly crashes & pretty much destroys any entertainment you can get from the game.

Great game, a bit buggy

CheesyTee

If you've ever played Privateer, this game will be right up your alley. You own a ship, which you can upgrade to be a merchant, pirate, bounty hunter, or passenger ferry. You make money by hauling or stealing cargo, or doing missions. The fresh element here is the crew, which you have to hire, and babysit somewhat. Like the sims, they have needs that have to be fulfilled by rooms on your ship; bunk room, toilet, snack room, etc. As they get higher level, they get more needs. One issue is that you can get screwed if your pilots get sick or go on strike; easier than you think, and your travel time gets weird such that you might never be able to land. Another issue is the bugs; sometimes it crashes but I've never lost progress, other times crew refuse to take care of themselves even when the rooms are there. Nothing that a quick restart won't fix. One last note; the wit and style are great, very fun to read the descriptions of crew/planet, and to watch the crew go about their routine while traveling.

Buggy

Stuanator

The destination is all out of whack on minute I'm almost there the next I have to go all the way around having to pay my crew for the unnecessary 10 days update it please if you still care about the fan base

AI makes game play impossible

Elvis Courtland

I really like this game but it's impossible to advance in the game very far. The missions that pay more money are too hard to complete or impossible to do with the resources you have. Why do you have to buy cargo for missions? Stupid! Not to mention your crew gets sick and strikes constantly because they can't go without a shower which you can't install until it's researched. You have to research multiple items just to get those available rooms to prevent this and you must also do research to gain access to other planets and solar systems. Sometimes missions require you to go to a system that isn't available to you until it's researched but you have no idea where it is or what part to research. This all leaves you constantly running around trying to keep your bank account full so you don't go in the hole but one bad stroke of luck and your screwed. The AI is totally out of wack. Aside from a few bugs and crashes, if the developer fixed these issues the game would be great. Otherwise is just a waste of money.
