iPhone complainers should get their wish

Luckithroe

iPhone owners complaining about this game?!? Seriously? I hope they get their wish. Developers will flat out stop bringing games to the iPhone when they know the experience is not optimal (ala: legend of gridlock, don't starve, FTL, door kickers, this war of mine, the list goes on). Shame on these devs for allowing the consumer to decide if they are willing to deal with a slightly less than perfect experience. Hopefully in future they will just limit these gems to the iPad where they get the respect/ratings they deserve and call it a day. </sarcasm>

Great idea, but horrible lag.

Frame rates are horrible. Not playable.

Good game with Game breaking bugs

Brawnydt

Good game with lots of character. Plays well on my iPad mini 2. Will crash with fatal errors occasionally, and plenty of other UI bugs as well. Also some game breaking bugs in the missions that leave you completely stuck in the game around Chapter IV when you can't flee from a ship fast enough. Hope an update comes out fixing these problems as I've invested a good amount of time in the game and enjoyed it despite its flaws. Will be a 5 star game once it is upgraded. Also for all you complainers of the combat system, here's the secret: two hacking bays and two fully upgraded hackers.

Terrible Mechanics masked by great UI and graphics

Boris.Poletaev

I really wanted to like this. However it has some major flaws that I am not sure will be fixed. Let's start with the positives: +Great art style and humor. +Fun to customize your ship with rooms. +Really well done research. Not complex, but still rewarding. +Trading is fun, but also pretty shallow. However the game has some terrible gameplay systems designs. -Combat is bad, slow and boring. My gunner went to sleep because it was dragging on for so long and got me blown up. Once my pilot got sick mid combat and my ship started floundering. Sure I should not have engaged a stronger ship, but the game doesn't make it clear that I am about to get into trouble. - the save system screwed me. I took a kill mission, but forgot that I had no ammo. I undocked and a ship auto engaged me a few moments later. I couldn't run away and couldn't kill it. Reloading the game takes me back to orbit right before this ship engages me. No way to use that save game. No prior saves. Again technically my fault but there should be a way to do something about it. -Bugs. Holy game breaking bugs batman. Too many to list. Had to restart campaign twice. Overall fun presentation that looks great doesn't make up for poor design choices and bad bugs. -

Still crashing and it's been too long...

Mooniac

iPad Air 2 here and also getting crashes. May stop buying anything ported from other platforms as this has always meant more problems. Poor QC by both Carrot and Apple. Update: has bugs that change missions and your flight path on the fly ruining your campaign or sandbox game. Lowering to one star. Update 2: It's been months without communication or real fixes. Looks like they took the money and gave up. Doesn't matter really since the game itself just isn't that great after you play very long.

Where'd that planet go

Billkkkk

This is an awesome game, I got it for awhile and my phone screwed up and I had to reset and when I finally got it back the graphics got better (no more headaches at the poor focus) but at the price of a bug so major and strange that it really shouldn't have gotten passed anyone. The planets will just not be there, pholic, (or how ever it's spelled) in the campaign, is never there and it really through a off the trading and missions. This is the same way in the sandbox every system is missing one planet and it's dumb.

Great potential

Poot-Sin

This game has so much potential and falls so short, so far. Graphics fall very short and make it hard to tell what's going on, iPhone or iPad. Glitches are where this game falls short the most. Saving a game is essentially useless. If you get killed in the game the save file disappears. If you have to restart the game your save file becomes corrupt. Zooming in and out just zooms to any random direction.

Looks like a working version finally

Raz-0

It looks like the game breaking bugs have finally been squashed. It's an amusing space trading and combat game, a bit on the shallow side for a serious game, but more substantial than a lot of iOS games.

Continuously crashes

The Chipmunk Slayer

I had high hopes for this game and it looks like it's quite a bit of fun. But what isn't fun is restarting the game (and setting up my ship) over and over again because the game crashes before I can leave the first station and save. I thought this was exclusive to my iPad mini, due to the fact that it was a little older but the same thing happens on my brand-new iPhone. Playing the game on the iPhone is almost impossible anyway though, as the text is far too small to read.

Fun but filled with technical problems

Tazium

It's too painfully obvious this was a port from a PC game. I find it disappointing, when things work the game is a lot of fun. Screens freeze up for 5-10 seconds from time to time and after playing a while I have to quit because things become unresponsive. There is no feedback things might be taking longer than expected. I have repeated crashes, that pop up a stack trace. That's a bit overwhelming to see. The copy in the same still talks about PC oriented things, like right clicking on content. The tutorial pop ups duplicate the same notices again and again until you turn them off, maybe missing important content. Some of the touch targets seem too small on a mini. I didn't try on my phone, but I expect it would be worse. With all of this, every play session has just left me frustrated instead of enjoying my time.
