Please fix the bugs!!

This app comes very close to proving you can do professional comic work on a mobile device, but there are MASSIVE flaws that occur once you have 15-20 comics built in this. The problem first presents as constant crashing to the point where I was saving after adding each word bubble. Then, when I rendered it to PDF and hosted a link on my web zine, the PDF has digital errors on any browser except Safari. I am about to buy the more expensive desktop version in hopes that it renders better, but I REALLY need this app to work. It has great features but just needs to be WAY more stable ASAP.

Don't Get Too Comfy...

I have been using this product for years - and probably out of general laziness, I have not looked for other similar platforms to make my graphics - but nonetheless, my frustration with this product is overwhelming me. BIGGEST PROBLEM: saving and closing the application results in lost images that have to be found, reloaded, reformatted and lost time. SO MUCH LOST TIME! I am a professional graphic scholar-artist who works on deadlines and otherwise, and having to deal with this problem through ALL of the iterations of this product have created such frustrations and delays in getting the work done that I cannot even account for the hours spent RECONSTRUCTING what should have been easily saved. I have reached my limit with contacting support only to have them tell me to do the same things over and over and over again that do not fix the situation. "Keep images external to document" is a box in Preferences that I have never selected - and when these problems arise, this is where support always tells me the problem is stemming from. "Download from THIS place, NOT this place" is also problematic and a frequent instruction from support - suggesting that one version of this software is corrupted while the download from another is not? I am not tech-savvy, so I am not sure why this would be...but I have been a subject in a capitalist world the whole of my life - in the marketplace, if people are giving you money for a product, you had better deliver results. If there's a problem with your product, it should not be on the consumer to endure the frustration while you fix it. HIGHLY dissatisfied with this product...if anyone here has any suggestions for something better...even pen and paper, I will take it. Tech support is friendly, caring, and responsive...but this does not change that this problem has been part of the operation and experience with this system for the last six years now. USE THE FREE VERSION OF THIS, if possible or available...it might be infinitely less frustrating if payment for service is not exchanged.

So me and my dad he put this game on my iPad he has on his to and we both know now that it is going to be one of the best games we have ever played

Needs a simpler GUI

UncleMac OS X

I love this app on my Mac and it’s a very powerful iOS app however it would be nice to have a simpler GUI for commands. The undo seems to be buried at times when accidentally touching the wrong command and I don’t see an easy way to bring up the undo or a simple back button to navigate.

Lost hours of work

The Comic Life 3 app crashed for no reason. Repeated attempts to open it always brought up the same warning ‘Unable to open’. That’s it. Nothing left to do but delete it. Warning: always backup your data to the cloud or something. I thought I had done that, but its gone like my faith in this app.

Not super intuitive

I got this for my iPad and I'm wondering if it's different on a desktop. I find myself going to the help page a lot and it doesn't always have the answers. I can't figure out how to get PLAIN text outside of a box or balloon. There seem to be lots of features that I am missing. I'm having fun playing around, but I need to sit down and read through the whole help section. maybe things will make more sense and I will update my review.

Comic Life 3 - Best mobile app. Ever!

Having just completed a complex 32-page graphic novel on an iPad with Comic Life 3, I can say, without reservation, that this app. Is one of few that delivers the subtleties and nuances of a desk top app. What a great program! Well worth the 4.99 I paid. I use it for graphic novels, storyboards, posters and flyers.

This app is fantastic.

The text creator is so versatile, and with easily-manipulated layers and transparent png support, you can create amazing multi-layered images. There’s a lot of use for this outside of making comics. I wish there was a way we could download more templates.
