The game is ok, the main character looks just like Calvin after Hobbs left

I see everyone’s comments as being a rip off of Calvin & Hobbes but I see it more as an homage. I liked that part. However, gameplay itself just isn’t smooth. The controls don’t do what you want half the time and it just gets frustrating. I uninstalled it because of this. I’d also like to see an option to pay to remove ads. It’s annoying when ads randomly pop up after dying of finishing a level.

Why is this blatant rip off of Calvin and Hobbes on the front page?

This game desperately wishes it could be Comix Zone, a game that actually uses the comic aesthetic in creative and interesting ways. Pretty pathetic that this game doesn’t even come close despite having almost 30 years of technological advances and insight. The game play boils down to a super generic endless runner, and the visuals are either extremely uninspired or plagiarized. Please get this game off the front page back into obscurity where it belongs.

The App Store is just an ocean of garbage apps that are poorly made and clearly exist to fuel a monetization model akin to gambling. This app clearly is trying to cash in on sentimental value from the comic Calvin and Hobbes, which the creator famously never licensed. I’m not sure when the App Store became a cesspool of free to play games, but I would wager it changed once companies started making bucket loads of money from games such as clash of clans etc etc...I miss the innovative days of the App Store...

This is perhaps one of THE worst games I’ve ever downloaded in the App Store. I’m not even going to talk about the obvious rip off of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes (it’s already been talked about ad nauseam in reviews here). I will talk about the game play, which quite frankly is boring. It feels like a mediocre side-scroller crossed with a repetitive endless runner. And that annoying music—-UGH!!! It is SO obnoxiously distracting and grating. It is certainly not the kind of music one thinks about when looking at a comic like this. Overall, the game simply doesn’t feel like it was well thought out at all. It is free, so you can try it out yourself but my guess is you won’t be keeping it on your device very long. I lasted about five minutes and promptly deleted it. A big miss on this one.
