Engrossing, but hard to play
Parruchkin

Even though the plot was similar to many adventure games (capture a killer, save your sibling), this one stood out. Possibly because of the characters' constant cursing! But also because of the buildup of tension, atmospheric music, and dynamic (yet not very high-quality) animation. I appreciated the touch of humor on the phone menu. There are also big issues. The lag between scenes is so long I initially thought the game had crashed. The controls are clunky. Some dialogue could be skipped, while other parts couldn't. I wasn't able to save after the first two times (even though I deleted my previous saves, in case space was an issue). The game quit each time I switched applications (so I could check walkthroughs on the web) and without the ability to save I had to repeat several parts. The characters also have distracting highlights around them that contrast with the dark backgrounds, making them look like a poor cut/paste job. If it weren't so tedious to navigate and if it automatically stored your progress, I'd consider purchasing the full version. It's nice to play a more adult themed adventure game.

Captured my imagination right away!

Four words, Jane Jensen story consultant! After a long Kickstarter campaign and lots of anticipation this game really delivers. The story and characters pull you in immediately and the ending just leaves you wanting more. I just finished the episode and literally can not wait for the next one to come out. The only draw back to this game is that it can be glitchy and it does not auto save your game so make sure you SAVE OFTEN. It only force closed on me once and I had saved so much that I didn't lose much of my progress. Also sometimes the loading times when transitioning from scene to scene can take a bit long but I would wait a half hour for it to load, that's how much I loved this game. *I just wanted to pass along the one major bug I found. When you are investigating the first crime scene you will have to use your intuition in a couple of places. When I played the game and turned on my intuition the blood spatter was not an option that I could click on but you need to select to move the game forward. However, you CAN select it but it just won't show up with the blue mist around it. Hope that helps someone else since I was stuck for a bit. Now go buy this game!

I'd like to like this game but...

It crashes, constantly. We're not talking just a little bit here, but A LOT so as to be completely unplayable. From the reviews it sounds like it would be a fun and interesting game. But considering the constant crashing (on ipad mini), it's pretty much DOA here!!

Boring

I tried to get into playing this game, but the graphics are mediocre and it's boring. I gave up and deleted it. I suspect the favorable reviews are fakes.

Deleting this one
Suzsho

The game has some good things going for it - good graphics, an interesting superpower, and some fun puzzles to solve - but it has too much that makes it unpleasant to play. Between the clunky controls, the slooooooow loading times between scenes, and the bad acting, it's just not worth it. Plus, after saving only two times, it stopped letting me save. I'm deleting this one. I've loved other games from this developer. Gabriel Knight and The Last Door are outstanding. This one isn't up to par.
