Missing iPad Pro Support

respectTheCode

This app has great potential but it is missing many things that would be required to be useful. First it needs to support split screen and the iPad Pro native resolution. Second it needs keyboard shortcuts. Even simple things like hitting cmd+s doesn't work.

Would love to use this daily, but...

I'll up my rating to 5 stars once the app responds better to the Logitech keyboard and the iPad Pro. Can't use the arrows keys to quickly move around. I also couldn't find a way to change git branches.

Great app!

LowGhan

This app will not disappoint. I was expecting a clunky app but was pleasantly surprised. The UI is extremely mobile friendly and you can tell that a lot of thought was put into this app!

Abandoned ?

No update in 2 years? The website has oauth login with GitHub but the mobile app does not. Can't register with my email that is used by GitHub oauth but also can't sign in with it...

Slow getting started, but worth it.

PsychoactivePlague

It takes a bit to figure out the interface and some features (such as getting started) can only be accessed on the desktop site, but after everything is set up, this updated app is fast (much more responsive than previous versions) and more robust than any other text editor on iOS. Design and user experience matters to me when using a text editor, so I gravitate toward the sexier IDEs like Atom and Brackets. Codeanywhere has delivered on both aesthetic and technical fronts, and has taken over my text editing preferences altogether. The portability is fantastic. I'm a student, so I spend a lot of time away from my home desktop. I have an iPad and an iPhone but no laptop. I used to carry my code around on USB thumb drives and pray that I could get access to a computer with a decent text editor, but now I just need an Internet connection to work on and test my scripts, no matter if I'm on someone else's computer, my iPad, or even sitting at a train station on my phone! In all fairness, there are a few things that I'd like to see changed, but the pros far outweigh the cons. Just make sure to keep the app updated and I'm sure you'll find the entire Codeanywhere experience to be exactly what you want for coding anywhere.

Horrible from an iPad

AndrewCVega

Don't waste your time or money. Don't subscribe just to "test it out". It is bad. Really bad and really slow.

Connect. Code. Save. Just what I needed

sonofray

I've only used this app for a few minutes but already got what I need from it. Connect to my remote server by FTP, edit my website html/css, and save the changes back for the world to see. Just took care of a customer emergency from my iPhone 5s, from a free app. I'd give it 5, but I need to test it more.

Useless app

Henrytran13(;

It doesn't work [period]

Couldn't even log in.

protofaux

Created an account with my gmail information on the website while downloading the app. Tried to log into the app and it doesn't give me the option to log in with any potentially linked accounts. Simply using my email address doesn't work. Can't create a new user because that email is already in use. It's like you have two totally different systems!

No button for logging in with Google.

Obligatory rating to get coins

I got this on my pc, and logged in instantly with my google account. When I tried to download this app, there was no button for this. Code anywhere is a great program, but I'd like to be able to log in with Google so I can access what I already have on Pc.
