Enjoying cloud streaming but Airplay 2 constantly pause playback

iPhone JP

I really enjoy using Cloudbeats on daily basis for streaming my own music collection over cloud storages such as Dropbox, One Drive, etc. However, when playing music using Airplay 2 on the HomePods (Mono and Stereo with one or two HomePods) the playback will stop after a song or two. The only solution is to prevent the phone from locking itself. I find that very annoying because I have no problem streaming and Air-playing Spotify over HomePods, but have constant disconnect using Cloudbeats. Bluetooth headphones or speakers seems to be working just fine. Developer has acknowledged the issue is related to Airplay 2. I am looking forward for the solution to raise my Stars up.

Buggy

Fails to sync larger folders. I have roughly 60 gb of music from my dropbox and the only way i was able to sync was by individually downloading the subfolders. I tried running the synchronization over night, but it got stuck “searching for files”.

Groove Music Replacement

I like owning my music, but not storing it on my device. This app let's me continue to do that after Groove Music was discontinued. Love it! No issues! Does exactly what it says, and so worth the 5 bucks!

Best cloud player

Tekka787

Unlike the other cloud best systems that I use where sometimes the songs that I previously had disappeared, that’s not the case with cloud beats. Although it is a simple UI, the concept works. I upload my music to a cloud drive and then I’m able to access it on any iOS device that I own. I really recommend this simple and useful app.

Cloud Beats

I love Cloud Beats

The BEST streaming app ever

I listen to a lot of non-music MP3s for business and use variable speed for most them. I’ve tried several apps, most of which are fine, but Cloudbeats is the very best. It is intuitive, the variable speed is easily adjustable in small increments, the transmission is very clear. It has too many features to name, but it is super user-friendly. I love it!

Badly Needs an update

For the most paper I do like the ease of the app. While it does access files Drop Box, OneDrive, etc., and the WD My Cloud Home it does not access music files on the newer WD Cloud Mirror. So I am forced to piece meal my music storage across multiple free clouds limited in size such as those mentioned at the start of this review.

different cloud drives work differently

This is my music app and I like it but it has taken a lot of work to get it functioning smoothly. + I am generally happy that I’m in control of music now and able to listen to old mp3s. + developer Roman is very responsive - you have to give app access full access to a cloud drive, which is unnerving. I ended up getting a cloud storage service for music alone (onedrive). - tried Google drive first but it loses your metadata somehow which makes your library all messed up when pulled into cloudbeats. - can only save *playlists* on three types of cloud drives which is frustrating because I would have to give access to two different cloud drives (can’t store playlists on onedrive.) - interface is just a little glitchy. - have a big library and it’s taken a lot of massaging my metadata to get my library looking right.

Stops playing

I have several cloud based music apps that play continuously through the entire playlist. Was gonna use this app for a very special event to play though a list of songs while unattended that I have in a playlist I made using this app. But thankfully I tested it before the event. OMG what egg in my face it would be if the music stopped playing like it does in this app. I’m too scared to trust it after several times it stops for no apparent reason. Not trustworthy at all. Wasted money big time on this app. Geez ? DONT BUY! OVER RATED! I’ll even use the term garbage.

Nice interface, needs to run smoother

Solid music playing app. Works best if you use a music tagging program to tag your files with metadata (title, artist, cover art, etc) for this app to use to sort your music into genre’s, by artist, whatever. Had trouble with the app being able to synch all files on a google Drive, better function on Dropbox. Main problem: takes way too long to cue up a track. If you play an album start to finish its fine, but if you want to bounce around and play random songs, the app takes 20-30 seconds to cue up each track. Very choppy. If the app were updated to play tracks quickly it would be much better. Need to be able to pick a track, tap “play” and have the track play instantly. Not happening here.
