I have found the city maps very helpful when I travel and internet is not available. I can look at it offline. Thanks a lot!

*UPDATE* Upon posting my review, I was immediately contacted by the developer and given instructions on how to remedy the problem until such time the app could be updated in the App Store. I am very impressed with the responsiveness and customer service. It really is a great app and I used it extensively on the remainder of my trip. Still giving 4* for crashing on my vacation, but my confidence in this app has definitely been restored and will continue to rely upon it for future trips knowing the developer stands behind the product. *ORIGINAL* Used this app to map out our 2 week vacation in Italy. On day 2, app crashed and would not load despite rebooting phone and reinstalling app. All travel plans were lost. Completely disappointed.
After I paid for it, the app says it has been replaced by the updated free version.

So how did that happen? And then why was I charged? The free version also said it could be upgraded to this pro version for $11.99 which is more that what the pro version charged ($9.99). After deleting the free version, it said that the pro version is now free! Something is wrong here! I tried the free version based on a recommendation and thought that upgrading would make it better! I’d like my money back since I deleted the pro version ( which said it was being replaced by the free version). App also does not work unless there is WiFi which doesn’t really provide anything more than research I’ve already done. I was under the impression that the pro version provided off-line info. Wasting my time trying to understand what is really happening with this app.

Had the Pro version, got a pop up that it has been replaced by the basic version with one map. Now that I need it for a trip to Italy, they take it away the best features!

Update, mid-2018: You’re very nearly to ten stars imho with your efforts to be useful on the road and relevant to my searches. Bravo!! Update for end of 2016: I really love this app, it is so well done!! I could not get by without it. From large cities to small towns across Brazil, around Buenos Aires, into western Canada, around Alaska (almost literally) and parts of Washington state, just a few of the places I've used the app in the past month, as well as around home. The only time I got lost was when I left the iPad in the hotel. Can't wait to try this out on trips to Europe, Africa and Asia, soon. Update: works great in Africa and Europe too. Here I come, Asia! Nice touch that if two maps adjoin they work together seamlessly. Perhaps a future version will allow maps to zoom out just a little further, for purposes of perspective? This is the best!! Truly, and every update brings significant improvements to what has always been one of the most useful apps on the iPad and iPhone.
