My second game in I noticed an inability to make legal moves in spaces that I should have been able to. For that alone, I can't recommend this chess app.

Downloaded to play some chess in my spare time. Opened the app and an add for another app pops up, no big deal until you can not exit the add at all. Closed the app and restarted, same thing.
These adds - I’m sure it’s a great App, but I wouldn’t know

The first thing the game did after the whole icon showing thing was lead me to an add... that I had to participate in. Look, I don’t mind seeing an add, but it’s the first that happens when I try a new app and on top I have to play parts of it?? I couldn’t even find an “x” button. Left a distasteful thing in my mouth.

Literally just an add for final fantasy cannot get to the game at this point add will not go away and load game uninstalled !

Just downloaded, first game the AI performs an illegal move. I undo my move and retry, the AI follows with same illegal move. I'm sorry but pawns can only attack diagonally forward, NOT sideways. It's a basic rule of the game and the designers couldn't get it right. At least it was free, DELETED.

It is a pretty good app for pros to practice, or some friends who want to vs, but I wouldn't recommend this to beginners. The cpu, even on minimum difficulty, is still way too difficult for beginners, and makes illegal moves. The undo button is pretty good for beginners. If you are a beginner, this app will probably frustrate you.

Thanks for app. When I read the opinions it doesn't matter if here are some mistakes. It's not cheating, it's just a mistake in program. Designing is great. It's chess! Not fashion magazine Eva
Disappointed

I was playing this game daily and I loved it but I was really disappointed by the same issue many people seem to be having with the game: the opponent cheating or using illegal moves when on an increased difficulty. I'm not that good at chess so when I put the difficulty to the max I've lost every time, but today, for the first time I had victory in my sights as I was 2 moves away from a clear checkmate. To my dismay, however, when the opponent was given a turn, none of his pieces moved and my queen just disappeared. I tried moving to every spot I could on the board thinking maybe it was just a rule I didn't know of but no matter what I'd do, he wouldn't move a single piece and my queen would just disappear. Really disappointing and if this problem gets fixed I'll change the rating. Otherwise I recommend not downloading this game due to possibly major let downs.
